In fresh days, the media has reported an alleged alliance between the Confederation of the Polish Crown and the Law and Justice. Grzegorz Braun, president of the Crown, referred to these speculations in social media, calling them “a good conspiracy theory”. But did a political arrangement truly happen in the seismic spheres?
The fresh parliamentary ellipse of the Crown – is this the consequence of an agreement with the PiS?
On Wednesday, the Confederation of the Crown informed about the establishment of its own parliamentary circle. It included Roman Fritz, Vladimir Skalik and erstwhile PiS MP Sławomir Zawislak. It was his transition to the Crown that caused the most controversy.
According to reports from “Virtual Poland”, Zawiślak's departure from the PiS club was “controlled” and was held “with the consent of organization authorities”. Zawiślak, who had previously been suspended in the rights of a associate of the Law and Justice for breaking club discipline (e.g. opposition to “five animals” and sanitary segregation), was to be “a abroad body” in the party.
Are Braun and Kaczyński preparing revenge for Mentzen?
The portal “Goniec”, citing information from “Onet”, suggests that behind all the confusion there may be a desire to retaliate Grzegorz Braun and Jarosław Kaczyński in Sławomir Mentzenze.
– Braun wants revenge on Mentzen. He can't forgive him for being treated. That he couldn't compete in the primaries of the Confederacy, that the braunists were marginalized in the party, and that they yet got free of him. Weakening Mentzen is in his interest – said an anonymous caller for “Onet”.
According to the informant, Kaczyński was to support Braun, even though he ‘does not digest it’ due to the fact that the weakening of the Confederation of Freedom and independency is in the interests of the Law and Justice.
Braun comments: “Let it live its life”
Braun himself denied reports, writing on platform X: "Nice conspiracy theory". He attached a link to the article “The Bishop” and added: “But let it live its life – let others think about what actually happened, and we in our Confederation of the Polish Crown plan further”.
So is media speculation based, or is it just an effort to discredit the fresh ellipse of the parliamentary Crown? This remains a mystery for now, but 1 thing is certain – in Polish politics nothing happens without an echo.
