I will remind the forgetful or distracted that even before the outbreak of the war in 2022 Polish political journalistics were overheated from many texts about the alleged Międzymorza topic. And this, and that...! any who were overly sick - imagined went all the way.
In between the sea is small – they began writing and disputing in various ways about the alleged Trimorz. That was something. These messianic patriots with the eyes of their naive but rich psyche saw themselves in the very center of this realized dream structure. Warsaw surrounded by a string of its customers, who were to crawl under its powerful wings. They were so infatuated with their underweight ideas that they did not even see what already existed: Visehrad and Weimar (Paris – Berlin – Warsaw). What's up, small things below our ambitions and capabilities? However, at least 2 crucial matters were avoided.
The materialization of these ideas is in fact the end of the past of the 2 key countries dominant over these areas: Russia and Germany. Moscow and Berlin were completely forgotten. any of them disappeared like nothing. Of course, something was initially there, but quietly the American patronage was expected. Especially since Washington was kind of smiling. This was immediately considered an incentive to act. But another crucial problem has not been considered either. Namely, is Poland attractive adequate for all these Central European entities? Can he defend them if necessary?
Does it have a strong and prosperous economy to pump money streams and leading technology in Europe in various Rigas and Ljubljana? It wasn't thought! This part of the text could be concluded at the end of the text, that even if the war were not then coming, it was inactive besides utopian to have a real future. But there came an armed conflict on the east European steppes, and as usual in specified cases realism returned to favor. Geopolitical concrete. The trim, and even the Intermortal, was removed from this aphis. Another play began – the theatre of war. And there was a horror in it, especially for comedy actors. No more boys with this childish play, shouted the Americans with a tubal voice, with no objections. And all future shareholders of the fresh entity were placed in line, and first and most Warsaw.
The jokes were over, and the thought someway disappeared from what is known as public space. A serious game has begun. What turned out to be the case: many of our future “own” states behave completely different from us. Not counting our government at all. What does that mean? And that our causative power, even in the nearest area, is close to zero. For we are not an attractive force, not even for Hungary, the Czech Republic or even Slovakia. The hope of leadership was shattered. You'd gotta go back to reality, curing your delusions. But I wouldn't number on that, would I?
