There was a debate in the European Parliament on the admissibility of abortion in Poland. This item was requested by socialists and liberals in the EP plenary session agenda, citing the findings of the UN, which estimated that Polish rules protecting conceived life would break the "rights of women".
The reason for the debate was the findings of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination of Women (CEDAW). According to CEDAW, Polish women face "serious human rights violations due to the tightening of abortion law (in their country – PAP), which means that many of them are forced to study pregnancy against their will, hotel to domestic, dangerous methods of abortion or travel abroad" to places where abortion is legal.
CEDAW stated in the study – it is not known on what basis – that any doctors do not undertake abortion even in situations where regulations let it.
Anna Bryłka from the Confederacy was definitely defending Polish law. "Poland is simply a country where children are not to be murdered. besides the unborn ones, and women in Poland are safe," she replied to the lies that were given to our country in Strasbourg.
"In Poland we defend all our citizens against barbarous law, allowing to execution anyone in the name of left-wing ideology. And it is simply a disgrace that a associate of the European Parliament (...) known for disrupting spiritual ceremonies (Joanna Scheering-Wielgus -red) demands that the law be introduced in Poland, which was last in force for the German Nazi occupation," she noted.
"If the European Union had adhered to the foundations of European civilization, present we would not have debated the right to kill, but would have debated the right to respect for all life. Especially for this conceived one," she added.
As she stressed at the end, "Poles will defend the civilization of life, they will defend the weakest, and you, the EU barbarians, leave us alone and do not impose your eugenic law on us."

Already in an interview with PAP, Bryłka stressed that abortion is not an EU competence. "This is an interior substance of Poland. The facts are specified – what the left is afraid to admit – that in Poland there is no majority to change the existing law. If that were the case, the law would have been changed by now. Prime Minister Donald Tusk tried to do this, lost this rivalry, and he knows he will lose it in the next attempt. There is no majority in Poland to change abortion law. This can be seen from the composition of the Polish Sejm and from the votes held in fresh months," she said.
Bryłka said that "no women's rights are violated in Poland". "What we heard in the debate is lies. The most crucial thing is the right to live. This right to life in Poland has just been guaranteed. Left is looking for any way to make a difference. On the another hand, what we observed present in the EP looked like an informer for our own government. I do not know if the left has forgotten that he is simply a associate of this government. The EP has no competence and this debate should not be in general. Polish matters are done in Poland," she said.
The debate on the side of childhood practice was besides attended by erstwhile wellness Minister Ewa Kopacz and Euro MP Lewica, Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus.
