Let us remind you that the Azerbaijani-Armia war, which took place in the autumn of 2020, ended with the defeat of Armenian forces. Most of the mountainous Karabachu was taken over by Azerbaijan. Russian "peace forces" arrived in the remainder of the room, which spread a protective umbrella over the Armenians.

Faced with the failure of Russian troops in Ukraine, which, among another things, resulted in the decision of parts of Russian troops from Armenia and Karabach to the Ukrainian front, as well as, possibly even more important, the fall of the prestige of the Russian army, Azerbaijan began to press Armenia, calling for normalization of common relations, but at the price of a number of concessions on its part. The essential issue was the complete withdrawal of Armenian forces from Karabach. But Baku's expectations were not limited to Karabach...

Moreover, Azerbaijani troops began to cast various strategical points in the enclave, accompanied by armed clashes. Under these circumstances, the Prime Minister of Armenia began to publically signal that he was ready to meet Baku's expectations.

On 7 April, Prime Minister Nikol Paszynian and president Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met in Brussels in the presence of Charles Michel. The gathering was hosted by the European Union, which acted as a mediator between conflicting countries. The Parties agreed by the end of April to prepare a peace agreement at the level of the MFA and to set up a bilateral committee to establish the borders of both countries.

"The Prime Minister of Armenia and the president of Azerbaijan instructed their abroad ministers to begin preparations for peace talks", says Paszynian's office statement. Azerbaijan did not comment immediately.

The president of the European Council, Charles Michel, who mediated the talks, said that he hoped that the talks would aid bring both sides together. "I am convinced that we have taken an crucial step in the right direction this evening. Of course, this does not mean that everything is solved," he told journalists in Brussels.

The fact that Paszynian is ready to agree to the terms presented to him by Baku has sparked strong opposition to the opposition. In particular, these announcements caused concern among the Armenians of Mount Karabach. But besides Russia was not happy with specified a turn of events. On April 19, Paszynian went to Moscow, where he spent 2 days

The Armenian paper Hraparak wrote that "at Paszynian's last visit to Moscow, the Kremlin seriously warned him to avoid contact with the West and first discussed the proposals for Karabach". Conversations with Vladimir Putin seemingly resulted in Pasynian withdrawing from his earlier declarations and arrangements.

On 28 April, Pasynian lifted the veil of secrecy about the course of talks with Russian president Vladimir Putin. He was to tell him that Azerbaijan was trying to exploit Russia's position in Ukraine, but that it would not take long. The Kremlin is so to be opposed to the "fast" conclusion of an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. At the same time, it is to advocate maintaining the current position quo in Karabach. With respect to the areas occupied by Azerbaijani troops during the operation carried out on March 24-25, Putin was to commit himself here to resolve this issue.

Days, weeks, months... It was clear that Armenia was stalling, which powerfully irritated the Azerbaijani side, which continued under pressure...

On July 15, Azerbaijan's president İlham Əliyev stated in his speech that representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence had promised to lead to the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Karabach by June, but it was not implemented.

Əliyev then accused Armenia of waiving its obligations under the November 2020 agreement, ending the 44-day war in Karabach. "One was the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Karabach. But this case has not yet been resolved. We have raised this issue many times, but Armenia is dragging it," the president of Azerbaijan said.

Azerbaycan cumhurbaşkanı İlham Aliyev:

‘Maalesef sava Birisi Ermenistan'ın 10 Kasım mutabakatındaki madde musibince ordusunu Karabağ’dan çıkarmasıdır. Rusya Savunma Bakanlığı’na söyledik’++

He added that Azerbaijan raised this issue with the military leadership of the Russian Federation and "a fewer months ago, erstwhile advanced officials of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation were in Azerbaijan, they promised our defence minister that Armenian troops would retreat from Karabach until June".

"Today is mid-July, but this case has not been resolved," Aliyev stressed. “We are a victorious country, we have restored our territorial integrity. If Armenia doesn't want to retreat its troops from Azerbaijan, let her say it openly, we'll know what to do about it... What will our answer be?... I don't think it's right to talk about it now," he added.

+++’Ermenistan, silahlı kuvvetlerini Azerbaijani topraklarından çekramek istemiyorsa, bunu bize açıkça bildirsin, biz de işimizi bilelim. About the cevabımız ne olur? Belki de şimdi söylemek uygun değildir. Ancak bu, 10 Kasım mutabakatının ağır bir ihlalidir.’

"The Prime Minister and the Minister of abroad Affairs of Armenia have been talking about the position of Karabach in fresh days. That's very unwise. due to the fact that then we'll start talking about Zangezuru status. In another words, we can ask for the position of Zemgezur, which was taken from us in November 1920." 0- said Əliyev.

Let us remind you that Zangezur is simply a land mostly owned by Armenia, lying between Mountain Karabach and Nachichevan. The latter, although owned by Azerbaijan, does not border the essential territory of Azerbaijan, but borders (the narrow pass) with Turkey.

On August 20, 2022, the Azerbaijani army took control of the city of La

The Azerbaijani army took over the city of La

From 13 to 14 September, the Azerbaijani army attacked the positions of the Armenian troops, displacing them from a number of positions occupied. These actions are clearly intended to link the essential territory of Azerbaijan with the Republic of Nachichenia, which is part of it but which does not border it. It is separated from it by the region of Zangezur belonging to Armenia. In this context, therefore, there is increasingly talk about the "Zagezur Corridor".

The Azerbaijani side reported that during the fighting that took place in fresh days the Azerbaijan Armed Forces were to take up "53 enemy combat positions, 2 mortar fire stations and 8 strategically peaks".

The Head of the General Staff of Armenia has acknowledged that the Azerbaijan Armed Forces have advanced 7.5 km in the Jermuk region and are now 4.5 km from Jermuk. In addition, in the directions of Nerkin Khand and Verin Shorzha they were to decision by 1`,5 km, and in the direction of Ishkhanasar – by 0.5 km.

Now to measure the results of Azerbaijan's invasion of #Armenia: according to Armenian authorities, Azeri troops are 4.5 km from Jermuk town.

According to Armenian officials, Azeri troops occupy an area 7.5 km deep inside Armenia, 8.5 km wide. (1)

In the face of a weakening position connected with the war in Ukraine of Russia, and more powerfully against Azerbaijan, Iran began to talk out decisively against attempts to establish the Zangezur Corridor. "We will not let borders to change in our region. This is our advice to our 2 neighbours, Azerbaijan and Armenia. We will not stay silent at the forced border change," said the chief of the Iranian General Staff on 22 September.

Güney (Basra) komşularımızdan da İsrail’in oyunlarına gelmemesini istiyoruz.’ #iranpic.twitter.com/VT7yeqo1yl

Organized erstwhile and for all by Iran at the border with Azerbaijan, military maneuvers were nothing more than a demonstration of force and readiness to fight a northern neighbour.

Iran has concentrated a immense number of troops at the border with Azerbaijan.

But besides Azerbaijan, assured that Turkey would come to his aid in case of need, seemed to be a affirmative origin for him to be the improvement of the interior situation in Iran through which the revolutionary wave flowed. Let us add that in these events there is an active participation in the Turkish Iran....

Azerbaijan challenges Iran. Əliyev: “We are not afraid of them”

Turks besides argued that Azerbaijan could number on Turkey. On 5 December, large exercises began in Azerbaijan, close the border with Iran. Turkish and Azerbaijani soldiers have, among another things, been practicing the forging of the Araks River, separating the Republic of Azerbaijan from Iran's confederate Azerbaijan, utilizing a pontoon bridge and motor boats. The exercises were watched by defence minister Hulusi Akar of Turkey and ultimate commanders of Turkish Armed Forces.

A clear signal for Iran – the armies of Turkey and Azerbaijan began joint exercises

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan began accusing Armenian separatists of illegal exploitation of minerals, including gold, and the Russian contingent of "peaceful forces" for supporting this process. On December 12, 2021, well-organized and many groups of Azerbaijani "natural conservation activists" blocked access to the corridor of the Laçın, which runs the only road connecting the enclave remaining under the control of Russian and Armenian forces with Armenia.
