The utmost left-wing government of Canada announced that a bill should be tabled in parliament and passed to censor the Internet. This is the 3rd effort of this kind in 5 years, which shows the determination of the left on the road to the introduction of digital totalitarianism.
Canada introduces strict net censorship. There, Minister of Cultural Heritage Steven Guilbeault announced that his fresh bill would be very akin to that of 2021, which was then criticized by opponents as being “too broad and inconsistent” and yet fell.
Then Draft Law C-63, called the Online Harms Act, was pursued under the pretext of protecting children from online use. Its intent was to prohibit the publication of legal content on the network, which, according to the authorities, “may fuel the aversion or defamation of a given individual or group”. Violators were to be fined up to $70,000 or home arrest. Which content was inappropriate was to be decided by the peculiar office of the Commissioner for Digital Security. He would service as an all-powerful justice in this case.
The bill collapsed early that year, after erstwhile Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the dissolution of his cabinet and accelerated national elections. For the left, however, nothing lost, due to the fact that it is pushing a fresh C-11 task with almost identical content, as the erstwhile one. Last week Leslyn Lewis, MP of the Canadian Conservative Party, powerfully criticized him, calling it a "dangerous legal act", which, he claims, will open the way for the authorities to prosecute Canadians as saying that the authorities are "saying hate".
Senator Steven Guilbeault, known for his extremist climate and sex views, is liable for implementing the bill.
In addition to Law C-11 introducing censorship, Carney's government besides enforces Act C-2, which aims to ban donations of over $10,000. This paper has been criticised by a group of constitutional freedom defenders as a "step towards tyranny" consisting of full control of the public's private finances.
Carney promised to follow in the footsteps of Communist Trudeau, promising to introduce even more government aimed at limiting legitimate content published on the Internet. He besides openly announced, that its government plans to introduce a "new economy" in Canada, based on regulation by the state budget and not so far by the free market.
OUR COMMENTS: Canada was fortunate never to be under Stalinist occupation, but will get the same from the hands of its own lefties.
We besides recommend: Is this our war?
