"Like Cattle". Ukrainian footballer criticizes Legia Warszawa fans for the slogan “anti UPA”

On Thursday, Szachtar Donetsk faced the Legia Warszawa squad in Krakow. After the match, the goalkeeper of the Ukrainian squad in unspeakable words assessed supporters of the Legion of Warsaw, who chanted slogans against Ukrainian nationalism, UPA and Stepan Bandera. Kirił Fesiun estimated that they behaved “like cattle”.

The match between the 2 teams was played as part of the Conference League. Teams met at the stadium in Krakow, where Ukrainian Shahtar hosted. Due to the war, this squad plays their “home” matches on the Kraków Vistula field. Thanks to Polish fans, there were accents reminding about the genocide of Poles in Volyn, which were made by Ukrainian nationalists.

The fans of the Legion of Warsaw for a long time could not enter the grandstand designed for fans of the guests. All due to the flag with the inscription “We remember”, which was not allowed to enter the stadium. For most of the match, the Legionists besides recalled Ukrainian crimes in Poles, as well as the criminal activity of Stepan Bandera and his formation called the Ukrainian Insurgency Army.
