  • 0–4 points – for the composition of speeches,
  • 0–6 points – for speaking to the committee,
  • 0–4 points – for language (range and correctness of language measures).

Oral examination of abroad language – shorter but besides scored

The exam in modern language is ongoing 15 minutes and consists of three tasks:

  1. Introduction (approx. 2 minutes),
  2. Dialogue in the form of function playing,
  3. Description of illustrations and answers to committee questions,
  4. Statement based on a stimulating material with 2 supplementary questions.

Here, too, the maximum number of points is 30, broken down by:

  • 0-18 points – Communication efficiency (6 points each for 3 tasks),
  • 0–4 points – scope of lexic-grammatics,
  • 0–4 points – the correctness of language measures,
  • 0–2 points – pronunciation,
  • 0–2 points – fluidity of speech.

What does a 30% threshold mean?

At least 30 percent of the points should be earned to pass the oral exam., meaning:

  • minimum 9 points of 30 possible from Polish,
  • minimum 9 points of 30 possible from a modern abroad language.

Failure to accomplish this minimum means failing to pass the GED, even if all written examinations have been passed. Importantly, the giver must besides take a written examination from 1 additional subject at extended level, although the point threshold does not apply in his case.
