IPN will not participate in exhumations in Volyn. This is Tusk's announced “breakthrough”

As the Ukrainian side announced, in May this year the exhumation of victims of Ukrainian genocide in the village of Ugły will begin, where over 100 Poles were murdered in 1943. However, the work will be conducted by Ukrainians themselves, without the participation of representatives of the Institute of National Memory. It is another "success" of the Tusk government in relations with Kiev. What's worse, it could mean that the flagfowers are launching a systemic cover-up of crime.

IPN will not participate in exhumations in Volyn. As we read on wp.pl portal“Karolina Romanowska, president of the Polish-Ukrainian Reconciliation Association, obtained approval to exhume victims of the Volyn massacre, including 18 members of her family.“ She confirmed this in an interview with Virtual Poland herself interested, who asked the IPN to participate in the works scheduled for May.

Unfortunately, there are many indications that our institute may be omitted and that the activities will only be carried out by the Ukrainian side.

– We made the right conclusions, but so far we have not obtained approval to be present in Ugła – explained the spokesperson of the Institute of National Memory Rafał Leśkiewicz in his statements to the historical portal Dziecze.pl. The Ukrainian side has already planned everything. In fact, she's the one, not us. We don't know if our historians and prosecutors will be allowed in the first place. If that happens, it'll break the deal.

A fewer weeks ago Donald Tusk announced another "breakthrough" on Volyn exhumation. He usually boasted that he had done something that the erstwhile PiS government could not do. Meanwhile, everything points to the fact that Warsaw was deceived again and played by ungrateful and treacherous Ukrainians. Polish IPN has not received any consent to carry out the exhumation of our victims, although it has repeatedly requested this. The answers were negative or were not at all.

OUR COMMENTS: As we can see, there was no "breakdown" and we have a full continuation of the highly faithful policy of the Warsaw government towards Kiev. Worse still, the exhumations conducted by perfidious Ukrainians will most likely take on a caricature form, which can be compared to the celebrated Burdenko commission, which in 1944 falsified the exhumations of Polish officers murdered by the NKVD in Katyń. From now on, we are not alerting that Karolina Romanowska, who cooperates, among others, with the overt flagman Roman Kabaczij, is simply a screen for which the past of the Volyn crime is falsified.

We've been covering her case. Here.
