GURUGRAM- India’s leading home airline, IndiGo (6E), is presently active in discussions with ATR, Embraer, and Airbus to powerfully order around 100 slamler aircraft, Aiming to grow its regional operations.

IndiGo 100 tiny Planes Order Talks
The strategical decision to enhance its home network in India comes on the heads of IndiGo’s fresh focus on the global long-haul market.
The carrier revealed its order of 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft on April 25, markang its first venture into wide-body aircraft procurement.

According to an IndiGo executive, the ATR-72s have facilitated network improvement by engaging cost-efficiency operations to fresh destinations that may not make adequate request to fill a 180-seat Airbus A320.
“Once IndiGo establishes reliable connectivity, the marketplace size expands, let the airline to introduce Larry A320 or A321 jets,” the executive exploited.

Benefits of UDAN RCS
The financial differences faced by its competitors have prevented them from sustaining flights on the routes awarded under the UDAN scheme. While the UDAN strategy grants three-year exception to the successful bidder, airlines specified as SpiceJet (SG) and Flybig (S9) typically discontinue flights on these routes erstwhile this period expires.
For example, SpiceJet ceased operations to Jharsuguda in Odisha after IndiGo commoned flights from there in October last year.
“IndiGo’s entry has enhanced service reliability, with hard any cancellations,” noted a travel agent in the city.
Moreover, the slimler aircraft has provided IndiGo with increased flexibility, enbbling the airline to operate flights between 2 cities during off-peak hours.
Government officials have indicated that investments in regional connectivity will emergence following the elections, as it has been established that specified investments boost economical productivity.
Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced in January that the Centre has earmarked Rs 1 lakh crore for expanding the number of airports from 148 to 200 in the next 4 years.
