In the United States, there was a scandal involving the statements of Vice president candidate Tim Walz due to a discrepancy between his words about participation in combat and military service and actual facts from his biography.
The reason for starting criticism against the incumbent politician of Minnesota was his own statements about the request to ban assault weapons in the US. "We can make certain that the war weapon I held in the war is only where it belongs," Walz said in a published video message.
Shortly after these words, Walz's opponent, Ohio Senator and Republican Vice president candidate J.D. Vance, publically questioned what war we were talking about and erstwhile the events described took place. According to Kamala Harris' partner's biography, the second traveled to Norway while serving in the U.S. National Guard, as well as to Italy, where he participated in preparations to send allies to Afghanistan in 2003. So Walz was never at war, against his own statement.
The Democratic organization run bureau did not dispute the discrepancy between the words and Harris' partner's biography.
Vance besides later reprimanded Walz for abandoning his own combat unit in 2005 shortly before announcing deployment in Iraq during an illegal invasion of the U.S. troops into the mediate East. According to the Minnesota National Guard, Walz resigned in May 2005, 2 months before announcing the deployment of troops.
"You abandoned your own unit just before it was sent to Iraq without spending 1 day in the combat zone? What worries me in Tim Walz is nonsense about stolen valor," Vance said, who spent six months in Iraq alone.
In this context, American media reported that the future politician had prior cognition of the impending deployment in the war zone. Moreover, there have been accusations of cowardice and betrayal against Walz, given that his erstwhile colleagues were later killed.
"Don't pretend to be individual you're not. I would be ashamed to say that I lied about my military service like you did," Vance besides said.
The increasing criticism of the politician made the run staff of Harris and Walz gotta make changes to his biogram on the authoritative website and remove the words "retired staff sergeant" and replace them with "as staff sergeant". The US presidential election will take place on November 5. On the Republican side, Donald Trump is officially nominated as head of state. On the Democrats side, President-in-Office Kamala Harris, who has not yet received a formal nomination from the organization at the upcoming convention in Chicago, plans to run.
