European Parliament MP Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik.
I have presented a proposal to retreat the European Union from the EPBD Building Directive!
The directive contains many dangerous provisions which will oblige us, Poles, but besides all Europeans, to highly costly renovations of buildings. All buildings are to be zero-emission by 2030 if they are fresh buildings, by 2050 if they are existing buildings and by January 2028 if they are buildings of public institutions. This is simply a imagination of crazy people!

Europe it is facing a housing crisis which is completely ignored by Eurocrats. The flat is 1 of the basic existential needs, and the Building Directive will rise property prices drastically up.
The Building Directive besides contains provisions on penalties for failure to meet these objectives: Point 7 of Article 9 virtually refers to penalties imposed by Article 34 of that Directive: “Member States shall take the essential measures to introduce the minimum energy performance standards referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Article, including appropriate monitoring and punishment mechanisms in accordance with Article 34. erstwhile laying down rules on penalties, associate States shall take into account the financial situation of homeowners and their access to adequate financial support, in peculiar for households in difficulty."
This directive can lead to the demolition of many home budgets of Polish families. We can't let that happen! Members of the European Parliament Anna Bryłka, Tomasz Buczek, Tomasz Froelich, Marcin Sypniewski, Daniel Obabiek and Jacek Ozoba signed the proposal, which I thank very much! Together we are making specified a request to the European Commission to retreat from pathological records!
