A lot of people told me I should go to flood sites right now, take pictures, show people I'm helping. It would indeed look good in the run if I posed with a afraid face with a bag of sand in my hands. But I won't. Nor will I participate in the current walance between PiS and PO, accusing each another who prepared Poland for another large flood.
I hatred making politics at someone's tragedy. Politics is, of course, a disgusting activity, but I have my limits, which I do not intend to exceed. The flood carries death, floods the city, takes distant all they have. I believe that the flood should be fought by appropriate services, people who are professionally prepared to do so. Firefighters, soldiers, policemen, but they besides had volunteers. Not politicians, they're completely unnecessary there.
I have no uncertainty that if I had come to the scene, I would have brought more harm than good. This is not a place for politicians trying to warm themselves up against people who lose their full life's work and disrupt those who are truly trying to help.
It will be time to consider whether this tragedy could have been avoided. If mistakes have been made, the guilty negligence will should be settled. But not present and not tomorrow. Now the most crucial thing is to fight to save as many people and their homes as possible. Anyone who can should help.
Therefore, I encourage you to support the collection of the Polish Red Cross, organizing humanitarian aid for residents of Kłodzka #On the Rescue Flood. all deposit matters! Link to collection: .
