The Hołównia congratulates Charles Nawrock. “In front of you, the challenge is to stick a broken in half of Poland”

Speaker of the Sejm Simon Holovnia publically congratulated Charles Nawrock on winning in the second circular of the presidential election. In his entry on the X platform, he stressed the key task facing the fresh president – the unification of a divided society.

Holovnia: ‘Peace, not revenge’

Monday morning, Holovnia addressed the president-elect by writing:
"Congratulations, Mr. president Nawrocki. 1 basic challenge before you: glued together in half of Poland”.

In conclusion of his message, the talker of the Sejm expressed hope that Nawrocki would bring Poland “Peace, not Revenge”.

Dramatic turn in elections

The 2025 presidential election will be past due to the unexpected course of the second round. Initially, according to exit poll Ipsos at 21:00, Rafał Trzaskowski led with a consequence of 50.3% of the vote, while Karol Nawrocki had 49.7 percent of the Citizen Coalition candidate rapidly announced the victory, but the situation changed after the publication of the summertime poll Ipsos at 11:00 p.m.

The fresh survey indicated that Nawrocki overtook Trzaskowski (50.7% vs. 49.3%), although the difference was within the margin of statistical mistake (ą1 percent point). In the end, along with further PKW data, Nawrocki's triumph was confirmed.

Holovnia supported Trzaskowski

Let us remind that Szymon Hołownia, who received 4.99% of the votes in the first round, announced his support for Rafał Trzaskowski after the first results. Nevertheless, in his Monday entry he retained a neutral tone, focusing on the request for national unity.

Will Poland be “sticked”?

Holowna's words mention to the deep social divisions that have emerged during the campaign. The fresh president will face the challenge of mitigating tensions and uncovering a level of agreement between conflicting environments.
