Anniversary of the breach of the pact on non-aggression and russian invasion of Polish borders.
Today in our calendar we will look at Moscow's actions on the eve and in the first period of planet War II.
In the second half of the 1930s. Joseph Stalin, with prerogatives greater than the erstwhile Tsars, began preparing his country for a fresh war. For this reason, he first wanted to get free of an uncomfortable and allegedly disobedient component from the army. As a consequence of the cleaning conducted between 1937 and 1938, hundreds of the most experienced officers, specified as Marshal Mikhail Tuchaszewski, were killed.
At the same time, border areas were cleared from the "uncertain social element" to form the basis for the invasion to the west. specified an component was considered, among others, to be Poles from Belarus and Ukraine, whose thousands were murdered within the alleged framework. ‘Polish operation’ NKWD. The GUŁAG labour camp strategy was constantly being expanded, where millions of ZSRS citizens were imprisoned, usually for trivial or fabricated crimes.
The agent and terrorists on the Polish side were constantly sent. Hidden militias were besides formed in Poland to start fighting local authorities at the time of the russian invasion. In Moscow, future elites were trained for fresh russian republics to spill around the world.
As part of the final preparations for the war, The Soviets started straight provoking it, including signing on 23 August 1939 with Nazi III A Reich pact on non-aggression, called the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. In the secret Appendix to the Agreement, the Parties have set limits to their spheres of influence in Central Europe. The changes could not take place peacefully, so Germany attacked Poland on 1 September. On September 17th, the weakened but inactive resisting state, as the hyena threw the Red Army.
Attacking Kresy, hungry and demoralized Soviets, proved to be an unimaginable beast, resembling only the Hun hordes. For example, in Grodno, where Boy Scouts and a fewer Polish soldiers gave opposition to invaders for 3 days, these drove over tanks arranged on the pavement of civilians and tied children to their wagons, making them live shields. The reports from those events indicate a mass of anything like a dressed russian army, with rifles on strings. These soldiers, to a large extent, could not find themselves in the civilized planet they entered, e.g. they did not know specified things as toilets with moving water.
The operation was accompanied by rapes and robberies as well as the appearances of Jewish-Belarusian and Jewish-Ukrainian militants who murdered representatives of the Polish authorities. On 22 September, a joint Soviet-German triumph parade took place in Brest over Bug.
The organisation of fresh territorial acquisitions of Stalin began with the fake elections to the People's Assembly of Western Belarus and Ukraine. Subsequently, a democratic consent was made to bring these lands into the russian Union. In winter, mass exports of Polish families to Siberia and Kazakhstan began, and in the spring of 1940, there was the physical liquidation of officers and officials taken prisoner. As part of the alleged Katyn crime, 22,000 people lost their lives.
The ease with which Stalin took half of Poland increased his appetite. On November 30, 1939, he attacked Finland, hoping it would go equally smoothly. This time it miscalculated, due to the fact that Finland, unlike Poland, did not gotta fight on 2 fronts.
