The issue of American impact on Poland should be discussed on respective levels. Firstly, there is direct political and administrative control. Insolence and arrogance, known for their American practice in Latin America, the Baltic States and Romania, are already permanently setting fresh diplomatic standards for American hegemony in Central and east Europe.
Of course, the economical interests of the US in Poland are not only the media, but especially the energy market. For respective years there have been costly transformations of the Polish energy system, based on the extraction of hard coal and imports of Russian natural gas and oil. After the changes, the main energy resources for Poland become American and Cataeran LPG, and yet besides American atomic power plant technology. This transformation is, of course, linked to a leap in the cost of surviving and an inflation driven by an increase in energy prices.
Military bases and poverty
