Last Tuesday (27.05.2025) in the evening there was a dangerous road event in Mokotów involving a high-ranking police officer. A citizen of Georgia, providing passenger transport services, hit a cyclist – Superintendent Roman Kuster, Deputy Chief of Police.
How did the accident happen?
The collision took place around 20:00 at the intersection of Idzikowski and Witos. Georgian head of Toyota, turning left, continued to give precedence to Superintendent Kuster, who was moving his bike according to regulations.
The driver immediately confessed. He was punished with a fine of PLN 5000 and 10 punishment points. The alcohol test showed that both participants were sober. Fortunately, the officer did not endure serious injuries and was able to return rapidly to service.

The full intervention was recorded by safety cameras of the police. The case is being investigated by the Capital Road Traffic Department.
Foreigners in Police Statistics
This event highlights the wider problem – the expanding number of offences and crimes committed by foreigners in Poland.
According to February 2025 data, in 2024 Polish police stopped over 16 1000 foreigners. Among them:
- Ukrainians – 9753 stops (most often: alcohol riding, theft, fraud),
- Georgia – 1780 detentions (stealing, alcohol driving, possession of drugs),
- Belarus – 1122 detentions (driving after alcohol, stealing, bribery).
Will the government yet tackle the scourge of uncontrolled migration?
This event may turn out to be a milestone in the debate on safety – not only on Polish roads, but besides in a broader social context.
