Friday after 14:00 there was a shocking incidental in Bydgoszcz. A 45-year-old Georgian citizen, driving a Peugeot individual car, deliberately entered the building of the Bydgoszcz-Śródmieście Police Station on Sniadecki Street.
Fortunately, no 1 was hurt, but the event caused crucial material damage.
According to the police's findings, a man showed up in the police station area on Friday afternoon. After a brief reflection of the surroundings, he boarded his vehicle and headed consecutive for the station building. The car went through the glass entrance door and stopped in the lobby. The officers in the facility immediately reacted by incapacitating the man on site.
A 45-year-old Georgian citizen was detained and transported to police custody. Preliminary information indicates he acted on purpose. According to his testimony, he resented Polish services for alleged unfair treatment due to his earlier legal problems. The police do not regulation out that his behaviour may have been influenced by the emotional state or the possible usage of narcotics – for this intent blood was collected from him for research.
The man was accused of destroying property and of endangering the lives and wellness of others, for which he is facing up to 10 years imprisonment.
It turns out, however, that the foreigner can at the minute anticipate relief. However, he will not stay in custody.
– The man in the proceeding confessed and expressed remorse. He explained that his action was due to alcohol intoxication. The monitoring evidence besides confirms specified a version, and the prosecutor did not come to the conclusion that the suspect wanted to harm someone," said PAP spokesperson of the territory Attorney's Office in Bydgoszcz Agnieszka Adamska-Okońska. – He was granted a warrant of respective 1000 zlotys and police supervision. For the act he committed, he is not facing a advanced penalty, so this condition is not fulfilled. The man besides has a permanent residence.
