A citizen of Ukraine was detained by the Warsaw police after he published a video with threats to the Polish public on social media. A man has announced that houses are set on fire if the benefit of 800 plus ceases to be paid. The video aroused widespread outrage and rapidly disappeared from the Internet, but the case did not end in removing the account. It's the service.

The police office reported that the detention took place respective hours after the publication of the material on the network. The man, according to preliminary findings, is simply a Ukrainian citizen residing in Poland legally. The prosecution prepares the charges and the Ministry of Interior and Administration announces the filing of a request for deportation.

Head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Marcin Kierwiński reported that he was detained on platform X (formerly Twitter):

"After a twelve hours from the publication of the video on the Internet, the Police Capital Command detained a Ukrainian citizen threatening to set fire. An investigation has been initiated. The man will be charged. The KSP cooperates with the Border Guard, where the request for deportation will be sent".

The threats that fell on the video were not treated as a stupid joke. Police and safety services reacted rapidly, recognising statements as a real threat to public policy and the safety of citizens.

Although the situation affects 1 person, the case sheds light on the increasing tensions surrounding social benefits for foreigners, including refugees from Ukraine. The 800 plus programme was controversial from the start – especially in the context of the availability of these benefits for non-nationals of Poland. Critics pointed out that the support strategy should not be as open to all, no substance how long and legally they reside in Poland. In turn, supporters of granting benefits to refugees argued that people fleeing the war and taking up employment in Poland should have access to akin forms of support as citizens of the country. However, emotions began to intensify as the first announcements of restrictions and control appeared.

This is not the first case in fresh weeks erstwhile foreigners are subject to infringement or safety threats. According to the office of the Border Guard, after a fresh performance of the Belarusian rapper in Warsaw, 63 foreigners were initiated to search expulsion from Poland. Thirteen of them were deported, 10 left the country voluntarily, and 30 were listed as undesirables in Poland.

The service announces that they will respond decisively to any violation of the law, and peculiarly to actions that may destabilise public security. In the event of a threat of assassination, as in the present case, the consequences are immediate.

The government has already announced changes in the rules for granting social benefits to foreigners. According to the Ministry of abroad Affairs, the fresh regulations are intended to verify the legality of residence, professional activity and social integration. Those who do not meet the conditions will not be able to benefit from the 800 plus programme or another forms of support. The case from Warsaw may velocity up the introduction of fresh regulations. The Kuluaras talk about stricter checks and reduced payments of benefits only for those who work, pay taxes and are registered in the Polish social safety system.

The detainee Ukrainians are facing criminal charges – most likely for public provocation to commit a crime and threats against them. specified crimes are being prosecuted ex officio, and punishment may scope respective years in prison. The final decision on his destiny will be made after the investigation is concluded. Parallel Border defender prepares documentation for deportation. If the court or the voivode finds that a man's continued stay in Poland is simply a threat to public policy, he will be expelled from the country and banned from re-entry.

This incidental shows how thin the line between freedom of expression and a real safety threat is. At the same time, it reveals social tensions that are increasing in Poland around migration, integration and social benefits. The state must respond firmly to cases of violation of the law – regardless of the nationality of the perpetrator. At the end of this communicative there should be not only a halt for 1 man, but besides a reflection on how to build a safe, liable society that knows its limits – and can enforce them.
