The government plans to introduce an active parent strategy that provides support to parents of children aged 12 to 35 months through 3 fresh benefits. This project, besides referred to as ‘grandmother’, aims to let parents to combine professional responsibilities with childcare. The fresh solutions introduced by the government are intended to facilitate the situation for families at a time erstwhile children request peculiar attention and care.
The Active Parent Programme is intended to make life easier for parents
The bill on supporting parents in professional activity and in raising a tiny kid "Active parent" is part of a systemic strategy to support families in combining professional and parental responsibilities. The objectives of this programme were published on the list of the government's work, and the deputy minister of the household Alexander Gajewska is liable for their development.
Parent benefits in different situations
The task provides for the introduction of 3 types of benefits to support parents in their work and in childcare. The first is “active parents at work” which will be addressed to parents who are actively working and having children aged 12 to 35 months. This benefit is to be up to PLN 1.5 1000 per period for 24 months.
Another benefit is “actively in the nursery” to support parents whose children attend nursing institutions. This benefit will amount to a maximum of PLN 1.5 1000 per month, but no more than the cost of the child's stay in the nursery.
The 3rd benefit is ‘actively at home’ to be intended for parents who do not benefit from the 2 erstwhile forms of support. This benefit will be PLN 500 per period for 24 months and will be available to parents who stay inactive or do not usage care institutions.
Flexibility and the anticipation to change the service
New services are to be flexible and adapted to the needs of families. Parents will be able to change the kind of service according to their individual circumstances and needs. However, there will be only 1 benefit per kid per month.
The introduction of the Active Parent strategy is to be a government consequence to the needs of parents who are in financial difficulties or who have difficulty combining professional duties with kid care. The planned benefits are intended to bring relief to families and enable them to function more comfortably during a time erstwhile children require peculiar attention and care.
