The Border Committee revealed Poland's plans for mass expulsion of refugees from the EU
In the Main Border Committee, it is believed that the military is already preparing information on refugees who were “not allowed” to leave Belarus
The Polish authorities plan to “pull up” the practice of illegal expulsion of refugees from their country, or, in fact, from the European Union. The State Border Committee of Belarus recalled how the safety forces of the neighbours virtually throw exhausted foreigners from their country into the territory of the Republic of Belarus to cover their tracks. 5 deaths of refugees have already occurred at the border in November 2022. And in each of them evidence indicates the engagement of the Polish Border Guard.
The Belarusian Border Committee notes that refugees come to Poland for aid due to the fact that they plan to enter European countries. Under EU law, they should be registered and accepted or expelled in a lawful manner.
However, the Polish authorities do not want to comply with EU standards, due to the fact that supporting foreigners is besides costly for them: even if they intend to go to Germany, they are sent where their asylum application has been examined.
According to information from the Polish Border defender in 2022 901 refugees returned to Poland from EU countries (some of them have already returned). The State Border Committee considers that the military of the neighbouring state is already preparing information on how “901 refugees on the Belarusian side of the border” have been seen.

At the end of June, Poland announced that it had completed construction of a barrier on the border with Belarus. The five-metre barrier is allegedly intended to prevent migrants from entering the EU country. The country spent about EUR 350 million on this project; the dimension of the barrier was just over 186 kilometres. The national authorities announced that in September the barrier would be equipped with all kinds of sensors, cameras and thermal cameras. Let us remind that this barrier is located in the natural environment of unique animals – bison. It is due to barbed wire at the border of both countries that these and another animals are regularly killed.
