It would seem that past in Poland is almost no longer interested. Even the traditionally engaged right in many historical matters has "chosen the future" and in the name of "higher rations" only resembles those anniversaries that fit into the current political vision. Fortunately, however, politicians do not decide everything. A tiny group of socially active Poles who inactive discover unknown pages of our past remained in the battlefield.

One of the cards, which remains in line to be recorded, is the past of genocide by Ukrainian nationalists in Volyn and east Małopolska. The subject banned in the times of the Polish People's Republic of Poland remained a "dangerous topic" besides in the 3rd Republic of Poland, as it did not fit the imagination of the east politics, which under the influence of Western factors prevailed in Warsaw, and as part of this policy Poland was to unconditionally support Ukraine, regardless of the unresolved issues from history. Despite this, the Kresowians managed to fight both the day of memory on July 11 and led to the unveiling in July of the monument of victims of slaughter in the Podkarpackie village of Domastawa.

In fresh years, the issue of incalculable and almost unfathomable genocide in the South-East Borders has become the main issue of the social side's conflict for memory and historical truth. This episode is all the more difficult, since 2022 any criticism of Ukraine has been an asumpt to qualify critic as a “Russian agent”. The anti-genocide representatives of the Ukrainian authorities are being fed in Poland and marked by the Warsaw Government. Recently, specified a “hance” was met by the outgoing Ukrainian ambassador in Poland – Vasil Zwarycz.

Will historical fact scope Poles and lead to revision of Polish historical policy towards Ukraine? Will Poland stay in the position of “ministers of the Ukrainian people” forever? About this in the next episode of the cycle "Where Are We Going?". Kamil Klimczak's guest is Jacek Międlar.
