During an emotional evening in Katowice's Podek, on the phase of EuroBasket 2025, Israel's representation was blown up by the Polish audience. The fans did not limit themselves to whistles — they clearly and decisively expressed their opposition to the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza, i.e. the business and genocide of the Palestinians since 1948. Agnieszka Piwar develops this dramatic subject, with a light feather and interviews with eyewitnesses of judaic crimes in his premiere book entitled “The Palestinian Holocaust”, which is available in our store – HERE.
However, it was not only the fans' voices that caught attention — the Polish squad besides won on the dance floor. Poland defeated Israel 66:64, securing a second win in the EuroBasket group phase and remaining undefeated in Group D.
Another strong social message moved to the music scene. During Peji concert another participants of the event showed their opposition by chanting anti-Israeli slogans, including "Fuck Israel". These cries are a symbolic manifestation of solidarity with civilians in Palestine and the condemnation of this genocide, which is carried out by Jews in front of the full world. SEE
Peja, known for his dissension toward injustice and distance from power, created a space where music met with politics — through an audience that powerfully opposed dramatic events outside the performance hall.
It is wonderful that more and more Poles wake up and say what inactive late was condemned by Wroc3aw, disgraceful courts of general government. Somebody's got to cross paths...
