Two days before the early parliamentary elections in France, president Emmanuel Macron's main rivals, Marine Le Pen's block, and the coalition of leftist parties, are ahead of the block of the incumbent president – suggests an OpinionWay poll for the release of Echos and Radio Classique.
"Rassemblement Nationale completes run above its European ranking and has greatly expanded its geography. The French have not changed their opinion and inactive want to "punished" Emmanuel Macron," said Vice president of OpinionWay Bruno Jeanbar.
Following the overwhelming support that the Marine Le Pen (National Rally) organization received in the European Parliament elections on 9 June, it continued to strengthen its position by renewing the evidence of support. 37 percent of voters are ready to vote for her. Following the announcement of an alliance with the Republican Party, her listing increased by 4 percent points.
The second place in the poll is the coalition of the left-wing parties "New People's Front", comprising "Uncomfortable France" (LFI) founded by Jean-Luc Melanhon, Socialist organization (PS), Communist organization (PCF), "Green Ecology of Europe" (EEVL) and the extremist fresh Anti-Capitalist organization (NPA). Left block supports 28 percent of voters.
The presidential coalition "Together for the Republic", consisting of the Renaissance Party, centrists with Mod François Bayrou and Horizons of erstwhile Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, placed 3rd with 20% of the vote. In any constituency, the coalition did not even exposure its candidates. So there will be about 4 1000 candidates, while in the 2022 election there were 6,200 of them.
"Emmanuel Macron had a calculation: to reconstruct to him the voters of the centre block, even those disappointed in him to avoid the "two extremes", placing the divided left. Nothing went as planned. "The National Assembly has sided with Republican president Eric Ciotti while the left has united in endurance reflex," notes OpinionWay.
The poll besides foresees a advanced turnout, with 65% of voters coming to the polls – more than in the European Parliament elections (51.5%) and parliamentary elections in 2022 (46.2%).
The survey was conducted on 26 and 27 June with 1058 participants. The margin of mistake has not been determined.
In the elections to the European Parliament in France held on 9 June, the right-wing organization "National Union" over twice overtakes president Macron's supporters' coalition, winning 31.36% of the vote. The head of state then announced the dissolution of the National Assembly, the lower chamber of the French Parliament, and the holding of extraordinary parliamentary elections in 2 rounds – 30 June and 7 July.
