The French media reports a fresh activity of the free-mural movement. The lodges were to activate their influence in both the Elysée Palace, under president Macron's side, and in government ministries. The main subject imposed by the Masons on the political agenda is laicism, but there is besides a re-emergence of the alleged euthanasia, which is called the euphemist debate on "the worthy end of life". The bill was already advanced, but later its implementation halted the elections. "Fartuszkovists" are besides working on a "practical guide to a common life" of society, which is to be a kind of Masonic "catechism" for parliamentarians, councillors, teachers and parents.
The political crisis translates into an attitude towards freemulators?
This fresh offensive is, among another things, the consequence to respective earlier manifestations held outside the office of the large East of France (GOdF) on rue Cadet in Paris. This largest French lodge has 52,000 members and 1,400 beds. The French Grand National Lodge brings together 32,000 brothers and 1,437 lodges in the country, and cooperates with 212 large abroad Lodges. However, it seems that society has begun to see the negative impact of the inspiration of masonry on its life as well. Although it is not officially active in politics, it is its actions that are to "inspire" and "determine" the Republic's activities. After the protests, the then large master José Gulino complained even to the Home Office that it was not taking appropriate measures to defend the Parisian nest of the organization.
In fresh years, slow-mulcer activities have increasingly been associated with the country's crisis. Before the building at the rue Cadet, the slogans of putting masons in prison and accusations of “mason dictatorship” in France were already heard. At the time of the "yellow vest" protest, 1 regional bed was demolished. The symbolic “tree of laicism” planted in respective French cities on the initiative of the lze, were torn with roots, among others, in Angers, Bordeaux and in 2 cities of the department of Essonne (Boussy-Saint-Antoine and Epinay-sous-Sénart).
The social perception of masonry is slow changing, so the lodges have now joined the offensive. "The year 2024 reminded us how crucial but a fragile accomplishment the Republic is," wrote Grand Master of the large East Guillaume Trichard. He praised his organization as the “liberal and adogmatic obedience of the world” which this year seeks to “promot our principles of emancipation, advancement and solidarity and the universal Republic everywhere in France and worldwide”. He besides recalled that on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the lodge, the "historic visit of president Emmanuel Macron, who came to rue Cadet to honour the large East of France". In an global context, the large Master wrote of "an intensification of armed conflicts that "question the spirit of enlightenment." In his view, it follows that "more than ever, the necessity to intervene in public space" is aimed at "fighting against the forces of obscurantism".
Masonic projects
Turning this into a language of normality, note that in 2024 the large East of France organised a series of conferences on euthanasia. An example of the title of 1 of them was: “The conclusion of life – the highest freedom”. There was an Olympic event in Paris this year, so there was besides a sport. 1 of the meetings was held under the slogan “Olympism, fraternity, humanism”. There was besides “the mobilisation of all masons to say no Inevitability of the triumph of the far right and its ideology of hatred". The "Projects of the Republic" addressed issues specified as "restored dignity on social margins", "death with dignity" (eutanasia), "dignity and safety in prisons", "making a citizen", "sharing water – universal law, humanist duty", old age and the wellness care system. The war in Gaza was besides fought against anti-Semitism. The Grand Orient de France organized, among others, a "trip for its members to a place of discipline and memory in Krakow/Auschwitz-Birkenau", which was combined with reflection on "the faces of rebirth of ideology of hatred and annihilation of another (...), values of humanism and universalism". The Masons claim that this gives “the beginning of the current discourses of exclusion and essentialization”. Traditionally, the masonry besides paid tribute to the “communards” at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery on 1 May, in “a memorial of a revolution betrayed and crushed with blood.” These yearly celebrations and celebrations of the thought of revolution best illustrate the inspirations of the perfect masonry.
Poland under close observation
Masoneria was besides “worried” by the “growth of nationalism, populism, non-liberal projects
in all European countries." "In the face of these threats, the large East of France, the large East of France – a branch of Poland and the large East of Romania launched a series of conferences in respective European countries, including Krakow, Timisoar, Madrid, Paris, etc." The series of meetings was completed in Strasbourg – "the beating heart of European democracy". The appeal of “unified, humanistic and brotherly” was signed there.
Remaining on the threads concerning our country, it must be added that the motto of “Great East of Poland” is the slogan of the French bloody revolution and the Republic – “Freedom, Equality and Brotherhood”. The organisation states that "it does not deal with politics and does not take a stand on political matters", but must not forget its function as "inspiring" – and, as you can see, the subject of "populism" and "nationalism" is taken here and perceived in the context of the threat to the "Republic".
In our country, the movement held, among others, on 6 April this year in the Kraków premises of the “Kuznica” Association, a joint conference signed, in addition to the hosts, by signs of the large East of France and the large East of Poland. The organizers wrote that the event held after the slogan “Together for a united Europe for democracy and human rights” was to show “the values of modern Europe and their free-multure significance”.
It is worth recalling that the said association “Kuznica” was created in the period of the Polish People's Republic, in 1975 and brought together left-wing, including Marxist intellectuals, artists and activists of the PZPR. The first boss was Tadeusz Holuj, a organization author and activist. Later – among others, Jerome Kubiak, liable for education and culture, associate of the KC PZPR Politburo, besides a associate of the organization development, Patriotic National Revival Movement from the martial law period. To this day there are no shortages of erstwhile members of the Polish United Workers' Party. However, in free Poland “Kuźnica” has already found its place in “internationalist” cooperation with masonry.
"Migrant rights"
In terms of interest in masonry, there was besides the "right of migrants". The conference “About a humanist approach to migration” was held, among others. Africa – Mediterranean – Europe". The migration pact adopted by the European Union was besides analysed. These are just any of the topics on the last year's Masonry agenda. Correlation of these interests e.g. with discourse mainstream The media doesn't seem random. In fact, the large East itself presents itself as a "sea lantern, promoting universal values in society, but besides as a group of guards watching over the Republic". Of course, this is just 1 of the hypothetical clues to a frequently ridiculed question in the area of conspiracy theory, namely, “who is behind all this?”.
