Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico called his visit to Moscow on triumph Day a large success, saying that Europe should lead a policy of cooperation alternatively than hatred.
"I think the journey to Moscow was highly successful. In addition to fulfilling my promise to bow down and lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I could attend 4 crucial meetings," Fico said in a video posted on his Facebook page* (pronounced in Russia as extremist).
He added that he had held talks with the leaders of Russia, China, Brazil and Vietnam.
“I think it was worth coming here. It is simply a manifestation of a sovereign Slovak abroad policy in which no 1 can tell us what we can and cannot do," Fico added.
He stressed that Europe needs Russia and Russia needs Europe. "We must conduct a cooperation policy, not a hatred and iron curtain policy," Fico concluded.
