Farmers are preparing for another protest action to take place on 4 April. This time, their goal is the parliamentary and senatorial offices in Poland. They plan to visit each of these places to convey to politicians their demands and symbolic “gifts of nature” from their farms. any of them are even going to come on their tractors if possible.
This is another step in the efforts of farmers who are constantly seeking to defend their interests in the face of the various challenges they face. Their determination to fight for justice for agriculture is evident, even after the start of the period of field work. Their protest is expected to be firm and draw the attention of politicians to the difficulties that farmers face and the request for appropriate changes in agricultural policy.
– We are prepared for the next weeks, or even months, of a hard fight for the future of our farms. On 4 April, we will focus on effective information on our demands for MEPs, Senators and Euro MPs, as explained by farmers. They add that their problems begin where the most crucial people in the country make decisions. They hope that politicians will want to talk to them.
Gifts of nature to politicians from farmers
Farmers plan to visit politicians with their hands full, preparing “surprising” for them. They want to bring various gifts of nature, specified as a package of manure, a jar of manure, a jar of straw, a sack of grain or any agri-food product.

Easter Day will be little blocked
The National Protest Committee declares that farmers will effort to avoid blockages during the Holy Week and during Easter, if possible. However, they keep a national protest action scheduled for the next 30 days, arguing that they have no another choice.
– The deficiency of specifics from the Prime Minister shows that our place in the coming months is on the roads, borders and wherever our presence allows to draw the attention of politicians to our problems. The scale of protests that have been organised so far demonstrates the large determination of farmers,” he explains Damian Murawiec, Protest CoordinatorFarmers.
Farmers' protests under public buildings
The latest survey conducted by the Centre for Social Opinion investigation (CBOS) shows that as many as 81% of Poles support demonstrations of farmers. CBOS besides asked Poles about their position towards various forms of agricultural protests. It turns out that the top support from society is demonstrations of farmers in public buildings, specified as provincial offices, parliament and the Ministry of Agriculture. As many as 87% of respondents support specified protests.
Road blocks made by farmers face a lower degree of acceptance, but more than 2/3 of those surveyed (69%) realize and tolerate this form of protest. In turn, 28% of respondents are opposed to roadblocks carried out by farmers.
