Farmers, who made an agreement 2 weeks ago with Minister Siekierski and Deputy Minister Kołodziejczak in Jasionka, attended a gathering at MRIRW today. Due to the deficiency of implementation of the actions and commitments set out in the agreements, they declared a 48-hour business strike and remained at the ministry headquarters.
Information about the business of the central office was provided by the portal “Top Agar” citing the message obtained from Adrian Wawrzyniak, the press spokesperson of NSZZ Solidarity of Individual Farmers. The president of agricultural Solidarity, Tomasz Obszański, is 1 of the farmers present at the MRIRW headquarters.
No concrete action – an business strike
According to information provided by Wawrzyniak, representatives of farmers who signed the agreement 2 weeks ago with Minister Siekierski and Deputy Minister Kołodziejczak in Jasionka were invited to today's talks to the MRIRW. In the absence of specifics from the department's management, they decided to announce a 48-hour business strike.
– From what I was told, there were no specifics at that meeting. That's why farmers stay in the building, block the ministry until the Prime Minister shows up, and they just don't start introducing concrete solutions. The strike is expected to take 48 hours. We are organizing support for protesters inside the building at the moment,” Lawrence said.
