Eurocommunists want to let children to "choose gender"

European Union considers introduce government that would let minors to decide their sex independently – without age restrictions and without mandatory medical consultation. The LGBT+ equality strategy task besides envisages banning the treatment of children by therapeutic talks, as the left believes it is an effort to undermine the identity of the child.

Eurocommunists want to let children to "choose gender". The document, published on Wednesday, stated that the EU would "support the improvement of legal designation procedures for self-determination free of age restrictions". These proposals are set out in the European Commission's LGBTIQ+ Equality strategy for the period 2026–2030. associate States which will question sex ideology can be punished and "discriminate regions" which do not respect "values" can look forward to blocking EU funds.

The paper states, inter alia: "The legal designation requirements vary considerably between associate States. While many associate States have adopted models of self-determination, others impose medical procedures that the European Court of Human Rights found to be in violation of human rights. ... The Commission will facilitate the exchange of best practices between associate States in order to support the improvement of self-determination-based legal designation procedures free of age restrictions."

Under controversial fresh EU proposals, children will be able to choose their sex at all ages. In turn, therapy involving talking to children with sexual dysphoria problems may be banned. The European Commission's proposals, which have not yet been ratified by national governments, criticise countries, including Britain, which require the consent of a household doctor so that a woman can identify herself as the other sex.

The thought was intense. Supporters see it as a step towards equality, and critics inform against undermining gender-based rights and EU interference in associate States. The paper does not yet have legal force, but it is already creating a debate on the limits of self-determination and sex definitions in European law. The fresh strategy of EU neolysenkoism was named by kid rights defenders, “freezing blood in the veins”.

Of the 27 EU associate States, only 9 presently let the recognition of children, and 12 imposes medical requirements confirming sex change. In the UK, children from 16 years of age may be given sex hormones, but they cannot change sex in medical records until they are 18.
