  • The return journey, EK 906, took off from Amman at 0205 hours and arrived in Dubai at 0605 hours the same morning.

This successful inaugural round-trip marks the beginning of regular A350 service between the two cities.

Strategic Importance for Emirates and Jordan

The A350’s introduction to the Amman route represents a significant milestone in Emirates’ 39-year relationship with Jordan, which began in 1986.

This deployment underscores the airline’s ongoing investment in the Jordanian market and strengthens connectivity, tourism opportunities, and trade links between Dubai, Amman, and destinations beyond.

Emirates now operates two premium aircraft types to Amman, as the iconic A380 superjumbo already serves the route on flights EK903 and EK904.

The Emirates A350 currently operates to six other short and medium-haul destinations including Edinburgh, Kuwait, and Mumbai. The airline plans to expand A350 service to additional cities, including Oslo, Istanbul, and Ho Chi Minh City, in the coming months. By year-end, Emirates will serve 17 global destinations with its A350 fleet.

This strategic deployment of new aircraft across the network highlights Emirates’ continued fleet modernization efforts and commitment to providing enhanced travel experiences across its global route map.
