Soon there will be proverbial Eldorado on our tables, thanks to the government of the junta Donald Tusk, who is against Mercosur's agreement – and especially WSI defenders from the allied PSL. Due to the fact that Poland entered only Polish Vodka and Żubrowka in the protection against counterfeits - producers from countries of South America are already preparing to grow to the Polish marketplace alleged local food, which the defenders of the PSI from the Polish Academy of Sciences did not take protection.
This is referred to by erstwhile Tatra politician Andrzej Gąsienica Makowski of the Association of the Mountain Product Association, who sought the inclusion of Podhale products in the EU list of protected names: "Both Oscypek and all another products protected by the geographical name in Poland should be reserved in this agreement" and adds: "I do not think that the Mercosur countries are sending us an example oscypek in bulk, but if the product is not reserved, it would theoretically be possible, especially since the Oscypka marketplace lacks. If the French or the Italians reserved their specials, what did Poland do about it? The government should bend over this and list all Polish geographically protected products.”
Let me remind you that the Mercosur countries are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay and are associated with Mercosur: Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana and Suriname. There are large corporations, capable of producing a Podhale Oscypek no longer than a period from now! Not to mention the vodka that PSL only protected for 2 species! What is the problem of producing Paraguayan “Pan Tadeusz” or “Polish” Chopin, Sobieski, Wyborowa, or Krupnik in Uruguay or Argentina?
It will be Andrzej Gąsienica who will be amazed erstwhile typically “Polish” Lidly, Kauflandy and Aldiki will flood the Podhale oscillations from Brazil, while Toruń gingerbreads from Bolivia will dissuade native production. After all, Poland has besides put food trade in abroad hands – especially in German hands!
The EU agreement with Mercosur countries will be a real Eldorado for large corporations operating in South America – especially since Donald Tusk one more time failed to win Europe! Unfortunately, despite Tusk's strong opposition to the Mercosur agreement, the PSL apparatusist Stefan Krajewski did not read the list of geographical indications, which the European Union includes peculiar protection in the Mercosur trade agreement...
Security of these names is intended to prevent their counterfeiting and exploitation by non-EU producers. The EU-Mercosur agreement includes provisions on the protection of a full of more than 340 products with geographical indications. The most products on this list are France – 63, then Spain – 59, Italy – 57, Germany – 27. Poland wrote 2 alcohols - Polish Vodka and Żubrowka! It's inactive a large success due to the fact that junta Tuska might not have written anything...
So the Mercosur States will be free to forge not only Polish osquiks, Toruń gingerbreads and the full list of Polish vodkas, but besides dumplings, confectionery, dairy products – not to mention eggs and poultry – including Polish oat goose.
Ministry of Agriculture – mastered by PSL explains the deficiency of protection of Polish food "with a tiny economical importance of local products" (sic!) and calms that the list will be possible to supplement!!!
I do not request to remind anyone of the procedure of finishing a fewer Polish food producers. For 35 years there is no longer Polish Wedel, Hortex and Winiar and most Polish sugar factories. Now it is adequate to buy counterfeits from South America for all Polish maker to go bankrupt and finish the list of Polish food brands which have already been bought by abroad shareholders:
Amino (Unilever) — United Kingdom, Bakalland (Innova Phoenix) — Luxembourg, Bobo Frut (Nestle) — Switzerland, Selecta (Innova Phoenix) — Luxembourg, Drobimex (PHW) — Germany, Drosed (LDC) — France, Hoop (Kofola) – Czech Republic, Hortex (Mid Europa Partners) – an global investment fund, Inca (Cafea) — Germany, Kamis (McCormick) – USA, Cocktail (Lorenz Bahlsen) – Germany, Town (Bisantio Investment Limited) — Cyprus, Morlins (WH Group) — China, Loquats (Nestle) — Switzerland, Boxes (Heinz) – USA, Saga (Unilever) — United Kingdom, Falcons (Danish Crown) — Denmark, Wawel (Hosta global AG) — Switzerland, Wedel (Lotte) — Japan/Korea, Wines (Nestle) — Switzerland, Green Box (R&R Ice Cream Company) — United Kingdom, Alive wellness (Danone) — France...
And erstwhile there is no Polish competition, the prices for food will go into space. After all, the transportation of food from South America itself is not inexpensive that I will not mention the giant "carbon footprint"...
