The Association of Derivatives and the City Museum of Dzierżoniowa presents the latest, 5th volume of the book "Dzerżoniów and its inhabitants".
A gathering promoting the fresh book was held on 31 January at the City Museum Dzierżoniowa. The presentation attracted quite a few interest from the residents, gathered quite a few participants, it can be said that "the hall was bursting in the seams".
The publication presents a collection of memories of residents of Dzierżoniów related mainly to the post-war period. Thanks to it, we learn about the destiny of residents and changes taking place in the city. Like earlier volumes, this publication besides contains memories and biographies of residents of Dzierżoniów.
The author of the book is Jolanta Maniecka - ]]>Deserved Derivatives]]>.
Mrs. Jolanta Maniecka is simply a humanist, a man of culture, a individual with broad horizons and extraordinary intelligence. She was born in Dzierżoniów, studied Polish philology at the University of Wrocław.
As a educator, she shaped young minds, encouraging her students to think positively, to make themselves and to follow their dreams. The uniqueness of her educational work was appreciated by the Minister of Education, who awarded Mrs Jolanta Maniecka the Medal of the Committee on National Education. She besides received the school director's award and twice the curator's award - we read in the City Office Service in the Deserved for Dzierżoniów section. He writes about himself - "As a possessor by birth, I would like our possessor's planet to be better and more beautiful, so that my city flourishes and the inhabitants grin more often." Mrs Jolanta Maniecka's attitude, knowledge, skills and desire to share passions in an invaluable way affects our local community to be better and more beautiful. He frequently shows us how to accomplish this, for which we are grateful. The author besides deserves a warm thanks for the fact that in a hard time, among so many mockery of patriotism, of memory, of tradition, of Polishness, of misconceptions of past and of spitting on culture - she bears witness to the truth, attachment, shaping and perpetuating our local history.
