As our society becomes increasingly profoundly active in the civilizational conflict with the West and the clash with it in Ukraine becomes increasingly violent, the issue of censorship and even repression becomes current.
Let's start with the fact that censorship and repression work in all society. It develops around a peculiar ideology, a strategy of basic claims and rules. They are almost never explicitly recorded in criminal or administrative law, but alternatively constitute a signpost of the worldview, which is an extra-legal stimulus for the application of the law.
Liberalism is besides totalitarianism
What is acceptable and what requires forceful state interference never constitutes a detached law. On the contrary, the laws are passed by representatives of the ruling ideology, and they interpret it, establish the hierarchy – when, to whom and in what cases they should be applied, in a more or little harsh way. They are besides liable for its implementation and the strategy of penalties. That's why the sociologist Max Weber stated explicitly that "the right to legitimately apply force only exists in the state". And the state is built on an idea.
Modern Western societies are not unique in this sense and are fundamentally not different from another totalitarian regimes of the last centuries; communism or fascism. The difference concerns only ideology and methods. On the another issues, all ideology works the same: what is compatible with it is accepted; what goes beyond its framework, and even more so – questions ideological foundations (in this case liberalism), becomes subject to censorship and repression. Liberalism bases its censor policy on criticism, marginalization, demonization of all non-liberal theories, systems of values and practices; it penalizes them, removes everything associated with them, from all social platforms, and then eliminates supporters of non-liberal views. This is what we call "a erasing culture" (Cancel culture), “feeling” (vokeism) etc.
Liberal Repression
Modern liberal ideology recognizes the right to free choice by an individual of any collective identity, including racial, gender, or even genre (transhumanism). Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply a criminal to her. That's where the hunt comes from for supporters of the classical family, patriots, supporters of all collectivist trends. People suspected of insufficient liberalism have closed doors to large tv stations, media, and even social networks. If anyone, including even from the ranks of elites, starts turning somehow, leaves liberal (totally totalitarian) dogmas – he is immediately facing ostracism, censorship and repression. Whenever a prominent African-American rapper Kayne West He wore a shirt with an innocent password. White lives mater (too) (The life of the whites besides matters), in 1 minute it became a marginal, extremist and threat to public safety in the audience. Everything that goes against the ruling ideology is crushed from time to time.
Of course, totalitarian are not only liberal regimes (totalitarian was fascism and communism), but since they are besides – this means that there are no exceptions. And you gotta admit that.
Inertia of Western Copying
Thus the question of the admissibility of censorship and repression as specified is lost in importance. All that remains is to consider what censorship and repression should be in modern Russian society. They're inevitable, but what are they expected to be?
We are conducting a civilian war against the West, on which liberal ideology triumphed. We declare our conventional values and the president has even issued Decree No 809 to defend them by the state. These values – mercy, love for the Homeland, justice, a strong family, precedence of the spirit over matter, solidarity, etc. – have small to do with liberalism. It is so clear that our censorship and repression should be based on different criteria from those adopted in the liberal West. In this case, it would be absurd to simply “copy and paste” Western standards to fight different views and to carry out repression based on them.
Meanwhile, the remnants of liberal stereotypes prevailing in our society in fresh decades are inactive very strong. We are no longer in the space of liberal ideology, on the contrary – we fight the states from this camp, we announce Russia with a separate civilization with our own strategy of values, but inactive (often as a consequence of inertia) we take an example from them.
Zelenski in compulsory set
The model opponent of liberals is those who admit the collective identity – national (right) or class (left). That is why they are first affected by censorship and repression; any opposition to liberalism and individualism – and now to globalisation, LGBT, critical racial theory, multiculturalism and transhumanism – is considered a "criminal". At the same time, liberals themselves – after all, they are ideological hegemons! – are not only tolerated, but become exemplary examples of the dominant worldview. They immediately include their opponents as “fascists” (right) or “stalinists” (left), whose destiny is unenviable. Today, the set of mandatory liberal values adds "love for Zelenski", compassion for Ukrainian Nazis (who are not at all "nazists" erstwhile they fight in the name of the liberal West against non-liberal Russia) and ruthless rusophobia.
How can we introduce our sovereign censorship in this situation and choose the criteria of objectively inevitable repression?
Freedom at Home
So far, we have introduced a ban on criticism of the president and the military under the conditions of war. This is simply a perfectly understandable and legible criterion. There are besides rules on prohibiting public criticism of a peculiar military operation. The more conflict escalates, the more stringent these criteria will be applied.
Deep down, behind the household table, a man can afford to have his own “separate opinion” about the russian Union, the Army or the President. And in the liberal West, they are utilized to the fact that, for example, children study to their parents that those in home conversations let themselves to be criticized by multiculturalism, transgenders, Zelensky or illegal immigrants, and especially rude refugees from Ukraine. And there are consequences. However, we are discussing cases of public violations of certain rules. In the household ellipse we have full freedom for now – you can say whatever you want. I wouldn't abuse that, though.
"Red-brown" liberal scarecrow
So far we have not developed ideological criteria and in this area we are inactive hostages to the past liberal times. Following the West, we have besides targeted “suspected” conservative-patriotic and left-wing socialist segments of our society. They were copied from the liberal West to demeaning terms; hence utilized in 1990 by the Russian elite the word "red and brown". It was equivalent to non-liberals – from the left or right (and sometimes both at the same time). This era has long passed, but the instructions that were made in her day, including those in force in the law enforcement bodies, in the FSB and the political bloc of the Russian authorities, were partially retained. It would be understandable if we were liberals. But we fight liberals. It is so no uncertainty time to make amendments to censorship and specify the basis for ideological repression.
Liberalism and terrorism
Yes, there are figures on the right and left side of Russia who criticize the president, the head of the Ministry of Defence, and sometimes even uncertainty the intent of the SOW. This is forbidden and this country should be severely punished. It is worth noting, however, that people active ideologically and socially, which are the backbone of volunteers and the core of the group, who show support day and night, are almost exclusively supporters of right-wing or left-wing patriotic ideas. Thus, the SOW in an ideological sense rests on the shoulders of those who profess different ideologies but liberal. Paraphrase Yegor Lietov"there are no liberals in shelled trenches". There are no atheists either. Therefore, the designation of the right-wing conservative or left-wing socialist ideology by the accused should be regarded not as an aggravating circumstance, but as a mitigating origin (although not ruling out the blame). Conversely, erstwhile the criticism of the president, the army command or the SOW as specified and circumstantial actions in this direction are carried out by liberals – namely those known to follow the ideology of our enemy – this is an aggravating circumstance. Furthermore, the very presence of liberal ideology (which is easy to identify from animal hatred of right-wing and left-wing patriots, i.e. those “red-brown”) should be regarded in advance as an emergency signal saying: “Possible betrayal! Attention, liberal extremism!’. An example of a terrorist is characteristic here Triep DariaWho Barbarously murdered a war correspondent Tatar ruler and hurt another innocent civilians. Of course, not all liberals are declared terrorists, but their ideology leads in this direction. Similarly, not all Muslims who read the forbidden literature in Russia decide to kill and blow themselves up with shahid belts. However, as shortly as law enforcement authorities find specified books or receive information that fundamentalism is preached in an muslim centre, severe preventive measures are taken. So should the liberals. After disclosure of the fact of reading or lending a book Karl PopperOpen society and its enemies, that black Bible George Soros, or an unhealthy interest in a liberal Satanist Ayn Rand, you should have taken an reflection immediately. Prohibiting liberal media and giving the most innocent abroad agent position is besides steps in the right direction. Before individual becomes a liberal, they should think about what it's like.
Liberal can't be a patriot
Liberal by definition cannot be a Russian patriot due to the fact that it considers itself a “citizen of the world” and a proponent of the value of Western civilization. In the United States or in the European Union, it can inactive support the state, especially in a situation where it is at war with non-liberal opponents. In Russia, however, this is impossible. There are, of course, erstwhile Liberals and those who mistakenly respect themselves as "liberals" (as a consequence of deficiency of cognition and understanding). We're not talking about them. However, confessing the ideology of the enemy with which real war is waged is the first step towards committing a crime. Imagine how a russian citizen would be treated to read Mein Kampf and shared the most crucial views presented there during the large Patriotic War. Can Popper be read? And watch the Dozhna station (luckily banned in Russia), perceive to the Echo Moscow radio that fled abroad? Incidentally, Echo Moscow left due to the fact that it stopped broadcasting Moscow discourse. In Moscow, that's no longer the way to say it, and the echo carries a completely different message.
Needing Your Own Worldview
The now emerging censorship and repression, which is just beginning, responds to the most apparent cases. But these are only the first steps. In terms of confronting the West, copying its criteria of what is acceptable and what is not would just be stupid. any things are no longer allowed to be done. Some, which we are allowed to do (e.g. perceive to the "Sputnik" or watch RT), cannot be done in the West. In turn, they are allowed Instagram and Facebook (the forbidden cultural and civilizational aggression instruments in Russia) and not in our country. Let the independency of civilization be manifested in these various censorships and repressive strategies. Incidentally, in China, things are even different with what you can and cannot do. It is different in muslim countries and Asia. There is no society where everything is allowed. But there is no specified thing as nothing. There's always something slow.
That's why all liberals can be granted abroad agent position in advance. It does not yet mean a call to the Committee of Investigation or a visit to a prisoner. It's not even about just being a abroad agent. Just to get on the watch list. It's preventive.
And by the way, it is essential to go beyond the framework of all 3 political ideologies of European Modernity (liberalism, communism and nationalism) and to make on the basis of the own values of our nation and our own state, authentic and sovereign worldview. And only on the basis of it will it be possible to plan its censorship and repression strategy. The second should be directed in the name of unity, power and faithfulness, against the ideological enemies of Russia, the manifest ones, and the hidden ones.
