Mandatory riding, prohibited getting off

There is simply a national athletics in Poland that requires neither stadium nor condition. Just turn on the radio, tv or household dinner. It is called "duopol", although it is cultivated with a passion worthy of utmost sports. The rules are simple: there are 2 teams, both are always right, and the audience has to choose 1 of them due to the fact that a draw is considered a manifestation of moral decay.

Sometimes I feel like I live in a country where light has only 2 switches: 1 shouts “now us”, the another responds “never you”. There's a void between them that no one's looking into, for what. A space for thought, doubting whether the usual "I don't know" was considered undeveloped and dangerous. Better not to hang around.

Duopol takes care of the citizen. In the morning he is awakened with concern: “Beware, they are coming again.” At noon, it reminds us that “they have already ruined everything” and that in the evening it calms: “If not for us, it would be worse.” So a man falls asleep tired, but taken care of. Like a roller coaster who has long wanted to get off, only the railings hold tight, and the staff repeats that the ride will continue.

The funniest thing is, the more everyone complains about this ride, the faster the wagon runs. all conversation at coffee ends at the same corners, all argument on the net looks like a copy of the erstwhile one, only a font different. Man begins to miss the banal boredom in which politics is the background, not the full landscape.

And then I get the thought of shy, unfashionable, almost impudent: don't you gotta go all the time? possibly sometimes you just gotta sit on the platform, watch the trains go both ways, and have a good sandwich. Duopol won't vanish from it, but at least his tummy will halt hurting. And that's a start.
