The president of the United States has published his spiritual message for the large Week. Donald Trump reminds us that Christians celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He emphasized that Christ through his sacrifice on the cross redeemed our sins and gave us a chance to save ourselves.
The White home published a message by president Donald Trump, intended for the large Week. The spiritual message to all Americans and Christians around the planet surprises. Trump, although not Catholic, reminds us of the Catholic teaching of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and besides points to the actual meaning and essence of the Resurrection.
"This holy week we admit that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross," we read in a message published on the White home website. At the same time, he emphasized that the United States is simply a Christian state, which is why it is crucial to experience and celebrate Easter.
"In this large Week of Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the surviving boy of God who defeated death, freed us from sin and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all mankind," wrote the president of the United States.
He then recalled the importance for believers of the large Week beginning on Palm Sunday, erstwhile we celebrate Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Then we experience Holy Thursday and Good Friday, and the highest of the holidays we experience on Easter Eve on Saturday. He stressed that it was a unique time to reflect and prepare the heart for the resurrection of Jesus.
"This week is simply a time of reflection for Christians to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus – and prepare their hearts, minds and souls for His miraculous resurrection. This holy week we admit that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. In his last hours on earth Christ voluntarily endured terrible pain, torture, and execution on the cross with deep and lasting love for all his creation," says Donald Trump's message for Easter.
“By his suffering we are redeemed. Through his death, our sins were forgiven. His resurrection gives us hope for everlasting life. On the morning of Easter the stone is removed, the grave is empty, and the light prevails over the darkness—signing that death does not have the last word” is the message.
Donald Trump in his message besides emphasizes that his administration will defend Christian religion in schools, troops, as well as workplaces, hospitals and government halls. He added that he himself would defend the right to spiritual freedom and uphold the right to life and dignity of life.
"By focusing on Christ's redeeming sacrifice, we look at his love, humility and obedience--even at the most hard and uncertain moments of life. This week we pray for the Holy Spirit to be poured out on our beloved Nation. We pray that America remains a beacon of faith, hope and freedom for the full world, and pray for a future that reflects the truth, beauty and goodness of Christ's eternal kingdom in Heaven," Donald Trump concluded in an Easter message to Americans and Christians.
