Donald Trump reminds us that Christians celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He emphasized that Christ through his sacrifice on the cross redeemed our sins and gave us a chance to save ourselves.

He then recalled the importance for believers of the large Week beginning on Palm Sunday, erstwhile we celebrate Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. He stressed that it was a unique time to reflect and prepare the heart for the resurrection of Jesus.

“By his suffering we are redeemed. Through his death, our sins were forgiven. His resurrection gives us hope for everlasting life. On the morning of Easter the stone is removed, the grave is empty, and the light prevails over the darkness—signing that death does not have the last word” is the message.

Donald Trump in his message besides emphasizes that his administration will defend Christian religion in schools, troops, as well as workplaces, hospitals and government halls. He added that he himself would defend the right to spiritual freedom and uphold the right to life and dignity of life.

"By focusing on Christ's redeeming sacrifice, we look at his love, humility and obedience--even at the most hard and uncertain moments of life. This week we pray for the Holy Spirit to be poured out on our beloved Nation. We pray that America remains a beacon of faith, hope and freedom for the full world, and pray for a future that reflects the truth, beauty and goodness of Christ's eternal kingdom in Heaven," Donald Trump concluded in an Easter message to Americans and Christians.
