Prior to the last gathering of the Council of Ministers in 2024, Prime Minister Donald Tusk gave a speech in which he summed up the year and announced the challenges facing Poland in the coming months. In his speech, he referred, among others, to the legal chaos which, in his opinion, affects the functioning of the state.

Prime Minister on legal chaos: "A strategy of law and lawlessness simultaneously"

– By July we will proceed in the strategy of law and lawlessness simultaneously," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk, referring to the current legal situation in the country. He stressed that "the last hours of the year 2024 showed how Poland is struggling after years of legal mess in the lens".

The Prime Minister pointed to the decision of the State Election Commission (PKW) which executed the resolution of the home of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the ultimate Court, adopting the financial study of the PiS election committee. At the same time, PKW indicated that it did not decide on the legality of the operation of this ultimate Court Chamber. Tusk stressed that specified situations illustrate the tension between the law and its application in practice.

Year 2025 as a time for a affirmative breakthrough

“Poland will be as strong in 2025 as always in its modern history,” said Tusk. He felt that the coming year would bring affirmative changes that would strengthen the country economically and politically.

The Prime Minister has promised that Poland will become a leader in safety policy throughout the European continent. He besides pointed out that 2025 will be the period of Poland's work for Europe, especially in the first half of the year, erstwhile the country will presume key functions in global structures.
