Text of the First Deputy Permanent Representatives of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitriya Polyanski in connection with the speech of the president of Poland Andrzej Duda at the UN General Assembly gathering on 4 March 2025. We print the speech in full, leaving the evaluation to our readers.

Mr President,

Just a minute ago, we had to hear anti-Russian rhetoric from the talker of the General Assembly on the part of the head of state, whom the General Assembly felt it was appropriate to vote outside the agenda.

The president of the General Assembly knows that we had doubts about the appropriateness of holding today's meeting. As it turned out, our intuition did not disappoint us, and the president of Poland devoted much of his speech to slandering our country, labeling it and promoting an agenda that divides, not unites. We respect this as a deficiency of respect not only for us, but besides for all the representatives of the UN associate States gathered today.

Fellows, despite the fact that the UN safety Council adopted a resolution calling for lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia on 24 February, the Polish leader present promoted the logic of continuing military activities to supply Ukraine with a "peace through strength". In his twisted “image of peace” all evil comes from Russia and its actions, which is very distinctive due to the fact that Polish leadership has been incapable to offer any another action plan than the creation of an anti-Russian coalition and the attitude of its neighbours against Russia for at least 20 years.

Mr. President!

I had the chance to work in Poland for more than 3 years and was always amazed at how kindness towards the Russians of average Poles and their pragmatic interest in cooperation with our country combined with the gross rusophobia of Polish elites. I appeal for listening to the opinions of fellow citizens, many of whom compose to us and apologize for their way of exercising power, including for supporting those who present whitewash and glorify in Ukraine the partners of Nazi executioners, make heroes of nationalists liable for the freezing blood of massacres of Poles, Jews, Russians, Roma and Ukrainians.

We, who lost 27 million people in the fight against Nazi fascism, who was guilty, among others, of mass atrocities in Poland, for the liberation of which over 600,000 russian soldiers gave their lives, are painfully looking at what is happening in Poland and the Baltic countries in relation to historical memory. And we do not realize why Poland, whose nation has suffered from wars for many centuries, is present in the avant-garde of those who provoke a fresh planet war, despite the efforts of various parties to prevent specified a war.

Mr. President!

In conclusion, I would like to remind you of the Polish proverb, which coincides with the Russian proverb: "Не рой яму другому, сам в попадешь попадешь" and quote it to the Lord in the Lord's native language: "Whoever digs under whom digs, the same falls into them".

Here is our firm advice to you: delight perceive to the general wisdom and abandon anti-Russian constructions and rusophobic narratives for your efforts to advance a unifying agenda and projects aimed at cooperation with Russia, not hostility towards it. Only in this way can long-term and sustainable peace be ensured in Europe, in which all its nations, including Poles, have a vital interest.

Thank you for your attention.
