Le Pen was found guilty of embezzlement of European Parliament funds through the fictitious hiring of assistants of Members of the National Assembly and deprived of the chance to run for president in 2027.
In addition to Marine Le Pen, 8 consecutive National Unity organization MPs were found guilty of embezzlement. 12 Members were found guilty of concealing information.
Marine Le Pen and 20 another organization leaders have been accused of illegally utilizing the European Parliament's funds to pay for organization workers residing in France.
