In the territory infirmary in Zawiercie, Covid psychosis returns, even though years have passed since the top of the panic. The decision to impose illegal restrictions has caused considerable agitation among the local community, especially given that there are presently only 9 patients in the facility with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The infirmary director, Piotr Zachariasiewicz, issued an order introducing a series of sharpenings on September 6, 2024. Among these were: the limitation of visiting time to 15 minutes, the limit of 1 visitor per patient, and the order to wear protective masks that violates the law.
The infirmary argues that its activities are ‘increased maturity for infectious diseases’, but the statistic do not seem to support this.
In addition to these 9 cases of COVID-19, only 1 patient with influenza kind B and 1 individual infected with rotavirus are present in the facility.
Limiting contact with loved ones to just 15 minutes can have a negative impact on their well-being and recovery.
We've been through all this in erstwhile years, and time has negatively verified covid restrictions, restrictions, warrants and bans. Clearly, though, dark times return.
Below we print the full order of the infirmary in Zawiercie.
According to Ordinance No 26/2024 of the manager of the Zawiercie Regional infirmary of 06.09.2024 on determining the rules for patients' visits to the Zawiercie region Hospital, due to the increased incidence of infectious diseases, including mainly SARS CoV-2, changes are made to the organisation of patient visits:
- Visiting a patient in the ward may take 15 minutes.
- Only 1 individual in the ward can visit.
- In the case of multiple rooms, 2 visitors may be present at the same time.
- In peculiar situations, e.g. erstwhile the patient is terminal, respective people are allowed to visit.
According to this pseudo-orders due to patient wellness safety, the Head of Branch/on-call doctor may decide to halt visiting those people who show signs of infection specified as fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, olfactory and taste disorders or other.
We remind you that under the law, a doctor is not entitled to visit the sick
The visitor shall comply with the following rules:
- Disinfect your hands before entering and leaving the room,
- Use a protective mask tightly covering your nose and mouth, Keep the distance to another patients in the courtroom is illegal,
- Reduce contact with the patient and its surroundings to a minimum.
- Full information on the condition of the patient is provided by the doctor personally or by telephone between 13:00 and 14:30. The on-call doctor shall supply only limited information.
In view of the recurring madness, we callback that the SN yet ruled that the restrictions, orders and bans introduced during the "pandemic" were illegal.
We remind you in case hospitals introduce complete bans on visiting patients that the Provincial Administrative Court (WSA) on the case conducted under the signature of Act V SA/Wa 2002/23 confirmed our erstwhile reports of illegality introduced by the infirmary of restrictions on the right to visit. In the ruling, the court stated that all patient in the infirmary has the right to individual contact with others. The case afraid a ban on visiting tiny patients due to a possible terrorist threat.
It should besides be pointed out that in Poland, contrary to the claims of the infirmary directorate, laws form laws alternatively than recommendations of the head of GIS on the services of pharmaceutical corporations.
