Convicted of views

By judgement of the Legnica territory Court 72-year-old Henryk Miketyn was sentenced to 3 months of probation for 2 years, the work to work 6 months for the injured Ukrainians, the failure of the telephone as a tool of crime, the payment of a judgement in the paper and a fine. I don't know yet. The crime was that he had an other opinion from the government about the Russian-Ukrainian War. He felt that the rations were not on the Ukrainian side. This is not the first specified conviction in Poland.

Article 54 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland states: “Everyone is granted the freedom to express his views and to get and disseminate information. Preventive media and press licensing are prohibited" As the website editors are convinced about this: Think Poland, The ultimate Time! or X-Portal this evidence is not respected.

What was right on his side is secondary. It is crucial that he was entitled to specified an assessment. Miketyn is 1 of the people who calls the Polish Left Movement to life. It is simply a formation of the anti-imperialist left and thus anti-war. It was called to life by people who love Poland, and by reason and conscience they are located on the left – Zbigniew Sowa, Włodzimierz Gorki, Andrzej Jaroszewicz, Zbigniew Sobczyk and others.

I find this judgement highly unjust. People have the right to their views, even if these views are in contrast to those presented by Mr Morawiecki, Mr Kaczyński, Mr Biedronia and Mr Tusk. People have the right to their views, even if they are mistaken or widely regarded as scandalous. This is what pluralism and democracy are all about. After all, this was mentioned by erstwhile oppositionists who became more effective censors in the III Republic than those from Mouse Street.

Today I believe that solidarity should be established with Henry Miketyn, regardless of his assessment of his views. People of the authentic left should support the Polish Left Movement, and all patriots should support it to become a real alternate to liberal left-wing in Poland. Poles request a social left, anti-imperialist and pro-Polish. Henry, I'm with you!
