It is not known from now on that the Government of Tusk and its dependent public institutions are doing everything to delight Berlin. This time, the Pilecki Institute, which is to document, among others, the destiny of Polish cultural goods robbed by the Germans and Soviets, cancelled the conference devoted to this subject in Berlin. The reason is that the Germans don't like it.

A conference on works of art, robbed by Germans, was cancelled. This decision was taken shortly after the appointment of the head of the institute by a declared supporter of Donald Tusk's team, Prof. Krzysztof Ruchniewicz.

"Our findings show that the decision was made shortly after taking the position of head of the Pilecki Institute by prof. Krzysztof Ruchniewicz. He was to argue – as we have established in respective sources – that the time of the Polish Presidency in the EU is not good for organising a conference on the subject, which may be uncomfortable for the Germans”reads the article “Rzeczpospolita”.

Polish and German museums were to attend the conference. The event was initiated by the Berlin branch of the Pilecki Institute. The plans besides included the creation of a scholarship program for researchers searching for missing works. This thought was welcomed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, during the time of the PiS government. He was suspended by the fresh authorities.

Moreover, “Rzeczpospolita” established that there was a investigation task at the Pilecki Institute concerning the fates of the Sierakowski collection from Wallew stolen by the Germans. Representatives of the Berlin branch of the Institute are prohibited from talking to the media on this subject, and it should be expected that he was interrupted.

Journalists addressed inquiries to the Institute's press squad to see if the facility would proceed to conduct investigation on stolen cultural goods. The consequence of the Pilecki Institute indicates that these actions will not be completely abandoned, but their continuation will be delayed.

"Conference about the Polish art robbed by the Germans, cancelled due to the fact that “not convenient for Germans”? The dictates are back. Historical policy has been writing since Berlin elections, and Warsaw only nods”rated PiS MP Arkadiusz Mularczyk.

OUR COMMENTS: Are we amazed by the service of the Pilecki Institute towards the Germans, after being taken over by the man Tusk? NO – this is what you should have expected. It's just a shame about the name of Witold Pilecki, which these people are blocking their anti-Polish actions.
