The definition of language clearly speaks of the basic functions that the language must fulfil: “It satisfies the needs of the full nation, the community. It is owned by all users, develops, lives and changes with them." It has long been known that in Poland there are noises and dialects, which are part of the Polish language and for linguists, but besides Thinking people, there is no formal difference between the Silesian or the Highland noise. On the another hand, the discrimination of gibberish as part of a language excludes a gibberish from a group of languages.
All these obviouss were "taken at school", which leads to a alternatively sad constatation that politicians trying to statutoryly convert Silesian to Silesian language or did not go to school or did not pay attention in class or effort to make illiterates from Poles. Fortunately, president Andrzej Duda, who vetoed the "Silesian Language" Act, was the guardian of linguistic normality and basic education, citing both linguistic experts and national interests:
The president stressed that the assessment of whether a circumstantial regional language has been established or of the separation of a peculiar cultural number must primarily be based on the examination of whether the criteria set out in the Act on National and cultural Minorities and the Regional Language were met. This evaluation should be carried out by experts in the field of language, culture and tradition, in peculiar linguists. (...) The irrefutable hybrid actions that can be undertaken in relation to the Republic of Poland, connected with the war going on across the east border, require peculiar care to preserve national identity. The protection of the preservation of national identity serves in peculiar to cultivate the native language.
Of course after that decision Internet and media flooded the ocean of opinion, mostly political, which praised the president of Poland on the 1 hand, on the another hand did not leave a dry thread on it. Therefore, it is worth listening to the archival opinion of Prof. Jan Miodek, a native Silesian:

In the political context, the position of the erstwhile president Bronisław Komorowski is highly interesting, who declared unceremoniously that he would not have signed the law on the "Silesian language" and justified it as follows.
On the another side of the dispute, we will find the very "tolerant" voices of the recently born "Slams" trying to build political capital on this propaganda hucpie.

With a akin commitment, any celebrities speak related to Silesia, for example Szczepan Hardoch, who writes his books in Polish. And it would be all funny, if it were not for the basic fact – these actions are aimed as much as possible at undermining the national and territorial integrity of Poland. Most loudly over the veto of the president of the Republic of Poland are those who "are not Poles, only Silesians".
