China can accept admission to the G20 of Poland, according to information provided by PAP. A spokesperson for the Ministry of abroad Affairs said that his country was "open" to discuss fresh members. PAP asked the Chinese Ministry of abroad Affairs about this anticipation in connection with the declaration made by the chief of this Ministry Wang Yi visiting Poland a fewer days ago.
As revealed by PAP on Wednesday, citing sources in diplomacy, Wang during a conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of abroad Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radosław Sikorski was to “toughly promise” support for Poland's entry into the G20 group.
"China appreciates the position and influence of Poland in Europe and in the world," said the unnamed spokesperson of the Ministry of abroad Affairs in a written answer to the question whether the Chinese side actually made specified a promise to Warsaw – and how it intends to support these efforts.
"We are open to discussion on admission of fresh members to the G20," added the spokesperson.
The G20 is simply a forum bringing together 19 countries, the EU and the African Union. It accounts for about 85 percent of global GDP, 75 percent of planet trade and there are 2 thirds of the Earth's population there.
Minister Wang stayed in Poland on 14-16 September. During this time he held a gathering with Minister Sikorski as part of the 4th session of the Polish-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee and with the president of Poland Karol Nawrocki. Prior to arrival in Poland, the chief of diplomacy of the PRC besides visited Austria and Slovenia.
