Battle of the Janczur River

Russian troops 19.10.2025 captured the Poltava Region Reinforced, thus breaking the key defensive perimeter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporozh, built based on the Janczur River.

In/g of compatible OSINT data, confirmed by movie material allowing detailed geolocation, after 2 weeks of dense fighting, the Russian Army of the 5th General Military Army of the “East” group commanded by General Andrei Ivanev, captured and cleared the enemy's fortification squad in and around Poltava.

The Russian Army thus continues to strike the flank of Ukrainian troops defending Zaporozh. The key defensive position built by Ukrainian bomb squads and engineering troops ran along the Janczur River. dense field fortifications were built based on displaced towns of Poltawka, Volunteers, Nowomikolovka, Uspinivka, Privilne, and Zaloga.

The support of the battalions from the 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade stabilised the defence of the Ukrainian 142nd Mechanized firearm Brigade at 1 time and fought in the construction of Poltava.

Under these circumstances, the commander of the Russian “East” group, General Andrei Ivanayev, threw a battalion, which was in the second pitch, 57th Self-Sagittarized firearm Brigade, and even the “grad” of the 11th defender Air Force bombs, fell to Ukrainian positions.

Russian aviation, in a literal sense, with bombs gliding between 500 kg and 3 tonnes, "digged" or "buried" Ukrainian bunkers, traditionalists and shelters, burying Ukrainian defenders in them.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted e.g. on 17 October, a record, during the full war, a regular drop by Russian aviation as many as 268 different FAB gliders with UMPK module. Many of them in the 5th Army Action Belt.

The Russian Army's 5th National Military Army now went on to prosecute and march westward, “rolling” the front in the general axis of the attack on the city of Hulaipole.
