In 1 of the interviews on Channel Zero, with the participation of 2 comedians and con artists, the alleged ‘Kamrats’ (not to mention the form and context of the conversation itself), she was a Arleta Boyke, As an expert, she stated that the flag ideology is not directed against Poland. According to her, flagism should not be seen exclusively by the prism of the Volyn massacre, and the further into Ukraine, the little you supposedly see flags and symbols associated with it.
Banderism is pro-Polish? These words sound like an effort to whitewash a black wolf, but dressed in white skin. I compose this text as a consequence to the thesis posed by Mrs. Boyke. Banderism not only did not vanish from Ukraine, but it is inactive well there and remains an openly anti-Polish ideology – as confirmed by both past and modern reality. Before we start proceeding stories about “brotherly friendship” again, a fewer facts should be recalled.
Stepan Bandera was the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (CNS), a co-worker of the 3rd Reich, and the ideology he preached lay at the core of UPA's criminal activity. In 1943–1944 UPA militias carried out mass murders on Polish population in Volyn and east Galicia. It is estimated that about 200 1000 Poles – women, children and old people – were killed. This was not a “war”, as Ukrainian state institutions are trying to convince today. This was a planned and systematic genocide.
Bandera preached the ideology of Ukrainian integral nationalism in which Poland was 1 of the main enemies – immediately after the USSR. He was an utmost chauvinist, and his imagination of Ukraine did not foretell a place for Poles.
Banderism present – an ideology that has not died
Banderism did not end its existence in 1959 with the assassination of Bandera in Munich. On the contrary, Ukraine grows like weed in a neglected garden. Bandera memorials stand in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and many another cities – a full of over 50 across the country. The red-black UPA flag floats on the graves of fallen soldiers, on demonstrations, and even at stadiums. According to available sources after 2014, this flag functioned as an unofficial war flag of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Institute of National Memory openly glorifies the CNS and UPA, and in the schools of Bander is portrayed as a hero of the conflict for independence. late on my X, you could see a movie from a Ukrainian school where students sing songs in honor of Bandera, holding red-black flags.
It is besides not a margin in politics. Parties like Swoboda openly mention to this ideology. erstwhile president Karol Nawrocki proposed a ban on promoting flagism and aligning its symbolism with Nazi, Kiev threatened Poland with retaliation. This best shows how profoundly this ideology grew into Ukrainian national identity.
Why is flagism anti-Polish? due to the fact that it negates Polish victims. Ukraine defends the symbolism of UPA, under which Poles were murdered, claiming that it is simply a symbol of the conflict for freedom. For us, it is simply a symbol of disgrace, crime and genocide.
In 2025 the tensions on this background are already clear. There are incidents with flag flags in Poland, including during cultural events in Warsaw. Even in the European Parliament, MEPs ask for action against flagism among Ukrainians surviving in Europe. And it is not “Russian propaganda”, as it is said today. These are the facts. Banderism divides Poles and Ukrainians due to the fact that Ukraine does not want to settle with Volyn. alternatively of exhumation and apology, we get the defence of the perpetrators.
Time to say enough.
Mrs. Bojke cannot pretend that flagism is not an anti-Polish ideology. It's poison that poisons Polish-Ukrainian relations. Poland supports Ukraine with billions of PLN, sends aid, weapons and money, and in return hears that there is no consent for the exhumation of Polish victims – although Germany receives specified consent. Time to say enough. No concessions towards those who worship the genocide. Let this column be a reminder: flagism in Ukraine is inactive alive, inactive dominates and is inactive an openly anti-Polish ideology.
