Tusk proposed that Poland will pay its own reparations for planet War II. In fact, only a tiny part of them, or compensation for the surviving victims of the German occupation.
There are voices that this is his negotiating strategy. He seems to have told the Germans, "If you don't want to, I'll pay for these victims to get the money in their lives." And I'd say it's right if he completed that later we'd enforce the refund of that money from the heirs of German criminals. But he didn't say that anymore. He did not protest erstwhile the German Chancellor reiterated that the reparations considered the subject closed. Which means he doesn't support reparation.
Or is it aimed not so much at obtaining reparations from Germany, but at paying the Germans reparations, e.g. for ammunition utilized for mass executions of Poles, or tanks destroyed during the September campaign? Who knows...
