Although Argentina's president Javier Milei could not personally appear in Madrid's Palacio de Vistalegre, his distant speech became 1 of the strongest moments of Europe Viva 2025. Milei, known for his uncompromising rhetoric and anti-systemic style, spoke to the European right with passion and perfect conviction. His message was clear: freedom is threatened, and the conflict for it continues on all fronts.

He thanked the hosts of the assembly from the beginning: VOX and Santiago Abascal for their solidarity – recalling that he could not always number on kindness from another leaders.

“Thank you very much to VOX, Patriot and my large friend Santiago Abascal, who has always supported me, even erstwhile everyone else turned their backs.”

It's not just a motion of loyalty. It is besides a reminder that the fresh right in different parts of the planet is connected not only in views, but besides in the experience of exclusion and opposition to the dominant political order.

In the further part of Milei's speech, he refers to the tragic death of Charlie Kerr, a young activist who was late murdered in the US. For Milei, it is simply a symbol of what happens erstwhile freedom of speech collides with fanaticism.

"Charlie was brutally murdered in cold blood by Antifa supporters during an open debate with students. This is another proof of what the Left truly is: hatred and regret.”

Milei does not respect this tragedy as an individual case, but as a manifestation of a wider phenomenon. The left, as he claims, increasingly responds not to the argument but to violence.

"They killed a profoundly peaceful man. Only God knows what will happen to the soul of the bastard who pulled the trigger.”

The president of Argentina continues to extend the context of this tragedy. It talks about how the left tries to control not only the institutions but besides the way citizens think.

"The real problem is the left, which, in its effort to collect all aspect of life, besides wants to impose on us what to think."

And he adds:

“When they meet individual who says ‘no’ and encourages others to do the same, they will do anything to silence him – either through slander campaigns or a head shot, like Charlie or Miguel Uribe in Colombia.”

Milei paints a image of a brutal, organized ideological device that will not back distant from anything. But he besides emphasizes that fear cannot paralyze those who stand on the side of freedom.

"This phenomenon is always full of force and hatred. But we can't be afraid. They attack us due to the fact that we are close to triumph – political, social, cultural and economic.”

This rhetoric is not just about resistance, it's about victory. The hope that the left advantage is momentary, and the triumph of freedom – inevitable.

An interesting emphasis is the introduction of spiritual language, which is uncommon in libertarians. Milei quotes Scripture to emphasize the spiritual dimension of the struggle:

“The Scriptures say that we are being attacked with impertinence and impiousness to exterminate us, our women and children, and to take over our goods. We, on the another hand, fight for life and our customs, and heaven crush them before us.”

It's not just an emotional call. It is an effort to enter the thought of freedom into something greater than just economics or politics. Milei speaks of civilization, tradition, and even divine order.

At the end of the speech, Europe Viva is addressed straight to the public, calling on her to act:

“Don’t give up. Go ahead. With Santiago Abascal and VOX you will be able to defend Spain, just as we defend Argentina”

And he ends with words that in his mouth are almost a slogan:

“He who has more soldiers is not victorious, but he who has the power of the heavens behind him.”... "Long live Argentina! Long live Spain! Long live VOX! Long live freedom, damn it!”

Milei speaks like the leader of the revolution – but not the class revolution, but the individual revolution. His speech is another voice in the global conflict to reconstruct the concept of "freedom" of his original, uncompromising meaning. It sounded loud and clear in Madrid.

However, a fewer days earlier, in the local elections in Buenos Aires state held on September 7, 2025, president Javier Mileia's organization – La Libertad Avanza – suffered a clear defeat. The winner was Fuerz Patria's peronist coalition, winning about 47% of the vote, while the ruling group only gained 34%. The difference of almost 13 percent points is simply a severe blow to the President, who has inactive late celebrated his triumph in national elections.

The state of Buenos Aires is the largest region in Argentina and the political bastion of the left. But this is besides a key social temper barometer – for decades it has shown where the country is going. Mileia's defeat was received as the first serious informing to his administration.

The president explicitly acknowledged that it was a "clear defeat". In his surroundings, there is talk about the request to change strategies before approaching elections to Congress.
