FORT WORTH- American Airlines (AA) is expanding its winter 2025-26 schedule with eight new routes and some re-introductions. The airline will introduce new services to Cancun, Mexico (CUN), and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), while also strengthening operations across Hawaii, South America, and Europe.
Brian Znotins, AA’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, offering extended seasonal routes and additional flights on high-demand paths.

Starting November 8, American Airlines will pioneer international service from Oklahoma City (OKC) to Cancun (CUN), marking a milestone as the first carrier to offer such connectivity from the state of Oklahoma.
The flight will operate on Saturdays using Boeing 737 aircraft. Similarly, four new routes to Punta Cana (PUJ) — originating from Indianapolis (IND), Nashville (BNA), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU) — will commence December 6, all featuring Saturday-only schedules.
These additions complement existing high-frequency services to both Cancun and Punta Cana, solidifying American’s position as the go-to airline for beach getaways.

Strengthening Long-Haul Connectivity
American Airlines has announced significant enhancements to its long-haul network. Beginning October 26, Chicago (ORD) will see daily nonstop service to Honolulu (HNL), operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.
