The youth of the All Poland complains to the authorities of Gdańsk

The Pomeranian structure of the All-Polish Youth has lodged a complaint with the Municipal Office in Gdańsk. The reason for this was the event organised by the Red Pomerania Association under the name: Why do we inactive have the patriarchy and how to fight it? The event was met with opposition from the national environment, as the organizers of the patronage of the City of Gdańsk, Gdańsk Houses and vicinity Clubs were given.

Today around: 2:00 p.m. activists of the All-Polish Youth during the press conference expressed opposition to the actions of the authorities of Gdańsk, which gave patronage to an event of utmost character. In their opinion, the city does not have the right to give patronage to events organised by associations that openly preach highly feminist and Marxist ideology.

Both the organizers of the event and representatives of the All-Polish Youth disagree on the function and scope of ideology that should take place in the public debate. For MW, events specified as those organised by Red Pomerania should not be supported by public institutions specified as the city of Gdańsk, due to the fact that they advance views which, according to this organization, are contrary to conventional and national values.

In the opinion of the MW, specified events should not be supported or financed by local governments, which, according to the organisation, are obliged to support values akin to national and identity traditions. Those who have a affirmative effect on the general public.

The reaction of the city authorities to the complaint of the All-Polish Youth will be of large importance in relation to future decisions of the self-government concerning the patronage of public events. Until then, activists of Pomeranian MW structures will be waiting for an answer.
