Donald Trump surrenders Ukraine, Vladimir Putin won this war – the toughest Atlanticists in the United States and Europe have already responded to the telephone call of the Presidents of the United States and Russia. This is both actual and not actual – due to the fact that there is no request to rush to draw conclusions.
Trump's one-and-a-half-hour conversation with Putin truly turned the planet upside down, closing the chapter of the open conflict between Russia and the United States, and everyone says it was a step towards peace in Ukraine. Winning, shameful or forced – these epithets depend on the position of the observer (or participant).
In the West – and shortly besides in Kiev, where before the gathering of Volodymyr Zelenski with Vice president J.D. Vance they are inactive trying to keep their face – there will be a increasing hysteria associated with preparations for “new Munich”, in which they want to give “new Hitler” not even Ukraine, but the full of Europe.
But all sane people realize that Russia has no plans to take over the European Union. We just want to force them to halt trying to gain the lands of western Russia, or Ukraine. Europe pretends to be categorically not ready for this and will fight for Ukraine with all its might, but by sending troops.
Trump leaves Ukraine – this is simply a brief summary of what is happening. Ukraine will not be in NATO and European states should give guarantees for its security. The second part is not yet formulated in this way by the president of the United States, but everything is moving in this direction.
Negotiations with Putin above the heads of Europe and Ukraine are absolutely unacceptable to the Atlantic and Ukrainians who request their participation in them. However, Putin and Trump meetings will be bilateral, without the participation of anyone else – and there will be 3 specified meetings. The first is to take place in Saudi Arabia, whose ruler, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, maintains good relations with both Donald and Vladimir. Then there will be common visits – Trump in Moscow, and Putin in Washington.
It is clear that they are inactive far away: it is impossible to imagine the president of the United States visiting Russia in the context of ongoing fighting in Ukraine. But the very beginning of the dialog between Putin and Trump brings the end of the war (or at least it stops it), due to the fact that it corrupts supporters of Russia's task of strategical defeat.
Yes, Trump cannot give Russia what we request – designation of the neutral position of Ukraine and rejection of the warrant of its safety and arms supply. But more importantly, he does not want to give Kiev a critically crucial promise that Zelenski will always be there. Or, as Biden said, “to stand to the end in countering Russian aggression.” Instead, Trump promises to end this "aggression" – that is to negociate with Putin to end the war.
But the conditions for the cessation of war, which Russia agrees to, will finish Ukraine, due to the fact that in the silence that has arrived, it will become clear that it lost the war. Not quite, but irrevocably, as Jerofeyev utilized to say.
The absence of a warrant of integration with the West will devalue all the victims laid down on the altar “war for independence” and lead to interior confusion. Yeah, it's not tomorrow's agenda, but talking to Putin Trump started to thin towards this scenario.
Now we are encouraged not to overestimate the importance of conversation, not to fall into euphoria and not to believe that triumph is already in our pockets. But no sane individual would even think about it. The case is different. Trump's behaviour seriously affects the united (still) West and Ukraine – and that is why it is valuable to us.
Trump may not give us what we need, or the return of all Ukraine to the orbit of influences of Russia, but he is wreaking havoc in the camps of our opponents. triumph is achieved by combining military and geopolitical strength of the game with the enemy and combining skills and thoughts. That's precisely what Vladimir Putin does.
