Air France New Flights to Phuket

Air France’s (AF) new service to Phuket (HKT) marks a strategic expansion in its Asian portfolio, responding to growing traveler interest in Thailand’s largest island.

This marks the airline’s latest addition to its growing Asian network, following last year’s launch of direct service to Manila (MNL).

Operating from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the airline will deploy Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, known for their spacious cabins and long-haul efficiency.

Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Paris, with return flights from Phuket on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The schedule is designed to optimize connections for European travelers and provide convenient access to Phuket’s attractions.

Flight No. Departure Arrival Departure Time Arrival Time Frequency

Why This Route Matters

The Paris-Phuket route taps into the increasing popularity of Thailand as a year-round destination. Phuket’s appeal lies in its versatility, catering to luxury travelers, backpackers, and cultural enthusiasts.

Air France’s nonstop service eliminates the need for connecting flights, reducing travel time and enhancing convenience for European visitors.

The route also supports Thailand’s tourism economy, which relies heavily on international arrivals at Phuket International Airport (HKT).

For Air France, this move reinforces its position as a leading European carrier in the Asian market. By offering direct access to Phuket, the airline caters to seasonal demand while fostering stronger ties between France and Thailand.

Phuket as A Destination

Phuket (HKT), Thailand’s largest island, is a premier destination blending natural beauty with cultural richness.

Its white sandy beaches, such as Patong and Karon, and turquoise waters attract sun-seekers, while lush jungles and limestone cliffs offer adventure for hikers and explorers.

The island’s cultural highlights include the Big Buddha, a 45-meter-tall statue, and Wat Chalong, a historic temple.

Phuket Old Town, with its colorful Sino-Portuguese architecture, hosts vibrant markets and cafes, showcasing the island’s heritage.

Beyond relaxation, Phuket offers thrilling water sports like snorkeling, diving, and jet-skiing, alongside boat tours to nearby Phi Phi and James Bond Islands.

The island’s nightlife, centered in areas like Bangla Road, pulses with energy, offering bars, clubs, and live performances.

Phuket’s accessibility, with Phuket International Airport (HKT) as a regional hub, makes it a gateway to Thailand’s Andaman coast, appealing to families, couples, and solo travelers alike.

Air France’s Asian Network

The Phuket route is part of Air France’s broader strategy to expand its Asian presence during the winter 2025-2026 season.

The airline will serve 11 destinations: Bangkok (BKK), Beijing (PEK), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Hong Kong (HKG), Manila (MNL), Osaka (KIX), Seoul (ICN), Shanghai (PVG), Singapore (SIN), Tokyo-Haneda (HND), and Phuket (HKT).

This network reflects Air France’s commitment to meeting diverse traveler needs, from business hubs to leisure hotspots.

The addition of Phuket follows the successful launch of Manila (MNL) in 2024, signaling Air France’s focus on high-demand leisure markets.

The Boeing 777-300ER, equipped with modern amenities, ensures passenger comfort on the 12-hour flight, enhancing the travel experience to this tropical destination.
